What *exactly* are you afraid of?

The extreme left in total control. Pelosi, Reed, Obama,Frank etc.
Again I say "What's wrong with you people?" Obama has more red flags than you can shake a stick at, and you folks are blindly following him into his snake pit.

While I would not call it a fear so much Cali as I would call it disappointed, that this country will continue to be slaves to Middle Eastern Oil as a result of favoring evnironmental poilcies over the needs of the American people. I am disappointed that this nation will fall even further behind as a result of an agenda that while appealing to the base needs of people it does not address the overall problems of this nation and leaves on the table viable solutions that will for another 8 years be left to languish while you and I support Middle Eastern Terror with each and every purchase of fuel. Further, I am somewhat disappointed that this short sighted vision, will ultimately lead to a less competitive United States. When we turn our televisions on to watch the next man on the moon in 2013 it won't be an American it will likely be a man from China as by that time we would have cancelled the Constellation program to fund some other social program thus further eroding this nations status around the world. While, I have my doubts about Barack Obama's vision for this nation, and for the most part am fairly certian that it will eventually result in an economy similar to Jimmy Carter's, however I remain hopeful that Barack Obama will prove me wrong and go against his notable record and try to be inclusive of those that may not agree with him.

How about everyone who supports Obama get up tommorow and vote for him. If you support McCain vote for him, any other canidate endorse them with your vote. I think the debate has been beaten to death, and I have not seen one person swayed either way. We all love this country and will prove it tommorow when we exercise our rights.

Stop crying, and look in the mirror. Your two votes for George Dumbya Bush helped destroy the Republican Party. It was you and 50 million other two time Bush voters that destroyed your party, and drove the country over the cliff.

You were warned. Libs told you 8 years ago that Bush was totally unqualified and unfit for office - that he would be a total disaster. You should have listened. No one put a gun to your head and forced you to vote twice for a guy that would ultimately destroy your party.

If he had been qualified and fit for office, would libs have said so?

Ok. Fair enough. Libs warned conservatives. Well now conservatives are telling you Libs that Obama is totally unqualified and unfit for office- he'll be a total disaster. You should listen. No one is putting a gun to your head and making you vote for a Marxist.

It's all about the payback.

I won't feel better about those associations, but Obama can prove he does not share those views. Who knows right now? As I said it's hard to believe he knew this many nefarious people with "knowing about them." I have said it before, I question his wisdom or his truthfullness, one of those two are lacking the question is which?

What is unwise about associating with people who (at least in the case of Ayers) have reformed and repented? It seems unavoidable to me, if you pick through a person's associations, that you will dig up a few people with records of some sort or other. Wouldn't it be worse if Obama ditched any associate that was a political liability, just for the sake of being politically correct?

I am constantly amazed at the similarity between expressions here and my feelings in 2000 and 2004.

Libs have never said McCain is unqualified or unfit.

So, YES.

Bush was a horrific choice. And I'll say it now, Palin would be as bad, so when 2012 rolls around think about it.

What gives America power in the world is a decent respect for science. Not faith. Science is behind the bomb, not faith.

You put a politician in office who wants to run on faith, "faith based reality," 'teaching the controversy' or whatever - and governing using the tools of science.... you end up with an electorate that thinks it is prayers that win wars and the rest of the world develops a smarter bomb around you.

McCain gets science. So does Obama. Palin not so much. She would be a disaster.

I will remember this, we'll see - you may be right.

Give me a specific.

I'll give you an example. I was terrified that we would be in WWIII with Iran, dropping nukes on them, for no reason, within a year of bush's reelection.

That was a specific articulated fear.

Don't just say 'socialism' -

What specifically horrible thing do you think is going to happen??

partial birth abortion, higher taxes for everyone, reinstating the draft, social medicine, increase in crime, another terrorist attack. in no particular order.

Higher taxes will come with Obama and not McCain? Obama is more likely to reinstate the draft than McCain? You think attacking Iraq and Iran is a good plan to prevent another terrorist attack?

wouldn't want that, because when the alleged right was in total control - Bush, Hastert, Frist - we got free market gems like a multi-trillion medicare/socialized medicine expasion, the No Child dept of ed expansion, and a faster rate in spending growth than we had under Jimmy Carter

where do you get the information that he has reformed and repented? Does "I wish I had done more" immediately post 9-11 sound like repentence to you? If it does then we don't speak the same language.

and as for the second question,,, that's exactly what he seems to do ditch them when it gets too hot to handle. but I bet they are right there at the state dinner in the WH if he wins. It gives me a yucky feeling. He won't be my President. You can have him.

that"s total bs. libs have said exactly that, he's too old, he has cancer, he will die, he's too erratic, he's too hot tempered all of which means he's unfit to serve. How dishones to now say you did not say it.

Obama will have free reign if the Democrats control Congress. The markets do far better when Republicans control Congress. Considering the fact that the economy is doing poorly, this could have a devastating effect on America and the world. Additionally, Democrats are known for curtailing 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. For example, the Fairness Doctrine is a clear attack on the 1st Amendment, yet Congress may be able to pass it if they have a super-majority. Their attack on the 2nd Amendment is legendary.

do you believe the Fairness Doctrine was an attack on the 1st amendment the 70 plus years that it was intact?

WHY wasn't it struck down by the supreme court ALL of those decades xisted?
