What Do You Think When You Hear Tea Party?

Tea Party = willfully ignorant, and hoping the rest of America is as clueless as they are.

Was it the Tea Party arguing that to solve our problems we must borrow more money to spend on broken social programs?

No, it was the Democrat moonbats.

I am sorry for "threatening" someone to step in the ring with me. Obviously, metaphors are banned here and some people took it as an actual threat and actually feared me.

I am sorry that I hurt people's feelings and will be more considerate in the future.

FTR, I weren't skeered.

I was having fun with ya.

Being "considerate" will only get you so far around these parts.
And you're too new to know better than to feed the Truthdoesntmatterforshit Troll, so I'll give ya a pass

Well they haven't exactly fallen all over themselves to correct the problems with Medicare and SS now have they??

Don't hold your breath for it to happen either.

The Democrats never made such an argument.

Really? They weren't arguing that we needed to raise the debt ceiling so they could borrow more money?

Hmmm...

Truthfully, I think of under-educated folks who have been scared into soiled-trousers by equally under-educated "leaders" who have stumbled across the election strategy of "scare them to death, then present yourself as the person who can protect them from the fear you generated."

They are obviously more interested in their own political fortunes and "getting their way" than they are in a better, stronger America.

But America will survive - we survived the first and second incarnations of the clan - we'll survive this one too.

Obviously someone ratted me out and thought I was an actual threat. (I deduce that it was a republican who became afraid of my metaphor). However, this is not surprising given Republican tactics of suppressing free speech.

I never fed Truth Matters. However, I am feeding you and all the scared Republicans.

On another thread Wry Catcher suggested Tea Party as a Jeopardy Question. Good Idea so here it is.

I think of smaller government with less power and more power at the state level. I also think Ron Paul.

IDK, but was thinking everytime I hear the tea party mentioned, it makes me want to piss in a teacup.

Yes, keep them in the dark and feed them the bullshit that they're accustomed to. They are scared, and better yet, have lost control of their own party by a bunch of those "We Want Our Country Back" fools. Speaker has lost his balls, tells the t party to get their asses in line, we see how that worked, didn't we. He cracked the whip, and nothing happened, the fat elephant in the room didn't move.
I see this, in the 2012 elections, the (R) party will have nobody credible to run against Obama, because most Americans view the t party as radicals, which they do not want. And the t party within the (R) party is too far out there for most Americans to accept, Obama get's re-elected, maybe not by a landslide, but nevertheless, he has 4 more easy.
Yea, you said a mouthful, they're running scared allright.

Republicans always become fiscally responsibie when they are out of power, but do the exact opposite when they are in power. Re-branding this tactic and calling it a tea party doesn't change this fact.

Republicans are responsible for most our debt, scumbag.

“The most import and successful right-wing movement of the immediate postwar years was that of the Italian Fascist Benito Mussolini…Mussolini and his black-shirted Fascists … aided by the alarm created by strikes and land seizures in 1919 and 1920, Mussolini played on the fears of communism and socialism shared by those afraid of losing their property and by those opposed to Marxist Atheism. The Fascists attacked and at times killed their leftist opponents…Many of the rich and powerful were willing to countenance Fascist brutality in the hope that it would destroy leftist forces” [p. 163].

I hope things don't get as ugly in Wisconsin as they are shaping up to be, thus far.

I think amateur hour. When they turned down 3-4 trillion in cuts because of 1 trillion in revenue enhancements, S&P realized it was amateur hour in Congress, because any decent economist will tell you we can't get out of this by cuts alone.

Any decent economist wil tell you we can get out of this without structural reforms to the entitlement programs either.

What's this entitlement shit everyone keeps spewing? Entitlements are food stamps and welfare. You pay into social security and medicare. If you don't pay in then you can't collect. Do you consider auto insurance to be an entitlement? Will allstate fix your car if you don't pay in? Well social security is the same thing...insurance.:poop:

I think of idiot liberals soiling themselves...When you said "I think" we knew then that you were lying. All republicans aren't racist, but all racists are republican.:poop:
