What do you think of Romney's speaking style?

It's hard for me to care about how someone talk

when what they talk about is a load of crap. Mitt lies non stop
,

all you have to do is not be a "anyone but Obama" retard to see it,

meaning you actually care about the country rather than just a party name.

Obama will have a billion dollars

to make sure every Republican knows

just how alike Obama and Mitt are
…

Depress the Republican voters by advertizing their candidate is the tactic.

Mitt lies non-stop, huh? Surely you could post just one example of a LIE...?

And I love that the Dems plan on harping on Health Care... bwa!

Go for it!

Yes, watch Mitt talk 5 years ago, then watch him today... His stroy changes.

He claims he's pro-life today, but that wasn't the tune he was singing not that long ago.

So? There was no lie... Mitt is a sincere man of conscience who had to navigate his way through some verbal political traps. Are you saying you are afraid he has some secret agenda to overturn Roe v Wade? :doubt:

He's had two different positions on that issue. Pretty hard to be pro-choice and pro-life at the same time.

A lot of people are pro-life with the exception of threat to mother's life, incest, and rape... For those exceptions those people are pro-choice....

Need to move out of your black & white world....

He didn't couch his position in those terms.

"I respect and will protect a woman's right to choose. This choice is a deeply personal one.”
”Women should be free to choose based on their own beliefs, not mine and not the government's."

And his running made said "There's isn't a dime of difference between Mitt Romney's position on choice" and that of his opponent.

Pro-Choice, Anti-Choice, Mitt Romney Cannot Be Serious | The Nation

Attack the source all you want, but all of those quotes can be verified.

Quotes without context are not a true representation of position...

If you have the context, I'd be willing to read it...

As with all politicians, I find his speaking style questionable. Politicians will tell you whatever it is you want to hear to get your vote.

That's a perfectly legitimate right-wing position. Paul Ryan's Medicare plan is an individual mandate, as was Bush's plan to privatize Social Security.

It's corporatist crap, regardless of which "wing" is responsible.

Romney also said he's been pro-choice since his mother ran for Senate in 1970, when he was debating Ted Kennedy. Face it, the guy was pro-choice his whole career until he decided to run for the nomination. Even he admits he was pro-choice at the time.

So, does that mean you don't have any context on those particular quotes?

I imagine this would be an issue with people who believe a candidates stance on abortion will affect his or her Presidency... Not everyone believes this...

You made this statement: "Pretty hard to be pro-choice and pro-life at the same time."

I explained how the statement alone is false, regardless of Romney's position...

He's had two different positions on that issue. Pretty hard to be pro-choice and pro-life at the same time.

WOW! Someone changed their mind. In human history, that has almost never happened. Why the likelyhood of any individual ever changing their mind on any given topic is something like 4 billion trillion to 1.

How is that statement false? It's impossible to want to ban abortion and allow it at the same time.

Nobody else finds that the guy's tone and cadence have a whiny, pleading character about them? I have been trying to find the right words to describe it....but it seems to me like he is trying to convince himself as well as the audience.

He stutters and oow's, dah's and ahh's like Obama. Same guy in a different suit.
