1. Institute a permanent ban on tax expenditures.

2. Raise the Social Security and Medicare eligibility age to 70 or, better still, permanently index it to 9 percent of the population.

3. Reduce defense spending to pre-war levels.

I like your lamp post idea, but the others may be a little problematic. How about suspending all cost-of-living adjustments until the federal budget is balanced? I think we may need 2/3 of the States to call for a Constitutional Convention to place additional restraints on our out-of-control federal government.

1) DoD spending is mandated by the US Constitution, so it is not pork....you stupid fuck. Pork is funneling millions to billions to your district from the Sandy Relief bill when your state/district wasn't even hundreds of miles near Sandy's crosshairs.

2) DoD spending today as a % of the GDP is lower than historical trends with higher % GDP spent on national defense. You don't even want to see the GDP % from WWI to Vietnam compared to today......you stupid pile of shit.

What do I think about Democrats? I think there is absolutely no difference between a Democrat and a Republican any more.
