Now that the Olympics are over....... what do they do with all of the specialty venues they built?
Not sure about London. I heard that some of the facilities (likely they meant the playing surfaces) can be sent elsewhere--like the handball court for example. The Velodrome is going to remain where it is, I think I read. Londoners have taken to calling it "The Pringle" because it looks like a potato chip from the outside.

Just a FYI; part of Lake Placid was turned into a prison.
It's kinda cool; you can still find the Munich Stadium from 1972 on Google maps. The apartments where the Israelis were held hostage are still there too.
