What do Democrats mean when they say they want to "Finish the job" on the US economy?

Besides eliminating God and replacing it with government, the theme throughout the Convention is that Obama needs another term to "Finish the job"

When you consider that they're advertising chronic 8% unemployment as the "New Normal", what does "finish the job" mean?

I listen to what people say.

You tell us that unemployment stimulates the economy and food stamps stimulate the economy and that 8% unemployment is the "New Normal", so what do you mean when you tell us you want to "finish the job"?

When he said "Change" most people assumed he meant for the better. How'd that work out?
