What do Communist, Socialist mean?

Libertarians, Classical Liberals, and Neocons are ALL BS for the dupes. Unregulated big business in this day and age of HUGE money does result in a fascist government/mega rich/corporate domination of the country, a disaster for the nonrich AND the country as we saw, and see, under VOODOO and Reaganism. The GOP humors the ignorant with empty slogans, talking points, and bumper sticker politics, then in power ignores them.AGAIN AND AGAIN> Pub dupes!!

So, you're a socialist/communist, not a proponent of the classical liberalism of the nation's founding? Can I call fairly call you a socialist or communist? And if not, why not?

You're ridiculous. Fascism necessarily entails a centralized, authoritarian/totalitarian government. How does a society of limited government jive with that? Classical liberalism does not eschew resonable regulation; it calls for emphatically spelled out limitations of governmental power relative to the inalienable rights of natural law. The theory of natural law is a centuries-old tradition, entailing a mountainous avalanche of great literary works, and as applied to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, which precedes a mountainous avalanche of statutory law and case law, it encompasses more than 200 years of actual, practical experience in this country. Clearly, the only one spouting bumper-sticker slogans--i.e., non-existent hysteria or BS for the dupes--is you.

No, I'm a liberal- NO NATIONALIZING, dittohead. Just intelligent regulation of a STUPID, out of control, corrupt Pub health "system".

Those were LIBERAL founding fathers, not any new BS from Pub a-hole who are simple duping you ignorant chumps...Bullshytte, presentist. Compare the number of rules, regulation, laws, written rights compared to any kingdom in the world in 1789. How many liberal constitutional republics do you think there WERE in 1789? LOL!

Read "The Good Old Days- They were TERRIBLE! I'm damn glad gov't has organs to protect the citizenry from Pub a-holes. Take the blinders off. Do you prefer 16 hour days, debtors prison, potters fields,45 year life span, and poorhouses?

States Rights became defending slavery of ALL kinds, racism, owners' rights, etc about 170 years ago. I hate state rights' regressive and obnoxious effects.

And I don't like being bothered because of out of state plates, and all the confusion caused by different state regulations (medicaid/care, UE, welfare, taxes, etc etc GOD KNOWS WHAT) that just make PROGRESS so difficult. Pubs love confusing the dupes...

"liberals" want a top-down-one-size-fits-all government......simple for the simple-minded....

What does unregulated free market capitalism mean to the middle class and poor?

The rules of the game of business are defined by government. Any sports fan can tell you that football, baseball, or hockey without rules and referees would be a mess. Similarly, business without rules won't work.

The conservative mantra is "let the market decide." But there is no market independent of government, so what they're really saying is, "Stop government from defending workers and protecting the middle class, and let the corporations decide how much to pay for labor and how to trade with slave labor in China."

The "middle class" is not the natural result of freeing business to do whatever it wants, of "free and open markets," or of "free trade." The "middle class" is not a normal result of "free markets." Those policies will produce a small but powerful wealthy class, a small "middle" mercantilist class, and a huge and terrified worker class which have traditionally been called "serfs."

The middle class is a new invention of liberal democracies, the direct result of governments defining the rules of the game of business. It is, quite simply, an artifact of government regulation of markets and tax laws.

Democracy - Not "The Free Market" - Will Save America's Middle Class

Us liberals don't want socialism. We just want our government to protect us from the corrupt robber barons who are operating under "capitalism". Capitalism can be corrupted too. Not just communism and socialism. The GOP have made Capitalism a dirty word.

There has never been a stronger middle class since FDR's New Deal. Republicans will argue that but its a fact. Undo the New Deal, as the GOP are trying to do, and do away with the middle class.

LOL

FDR's new Deal UE never dipped below 14% and averaged 20% from his first inauguration until Hitlers was strolling under the Arc de Triumph.

How did that help the middle class?

That's just plain bullshit. Any anthropologist can tell you that markets are almost as old as human beings. Wherever you have agriculture and specialization of labor, you have markets. Human beings have been trading for eons. There is evidence of humans trading in flint, sea shells and precious stones from stone age times.

Markets came first, then government began exploiting them.

The "middle class" is not the natural result of freeing business to do whatever it wants, of "free and open markets," or of "free trade." The "middle class" is not a normal result of "free markets."

Again, that's just plain bullshit. That's exactly what the middle class is. The middle class didn't exist until government relaxed control over markets, not before. Government has been controlling trade for 5000 years, but the middle class only came into existence under the free trade regime of the British Empire.

Apparently, everything you know is wrong.

Those policies will produce a small but powerful wealthy class, a small "middle" mercantilist class, and a huge and terrified worker class which have traditionally been called "serfs." .

Nope, that's what government meddling produces. Serfs are bound to the land. That is, they are practally slaves. What does that have to do with freemen trading their labor in the open market? Your own evidence proves you wrong.
