'what country's better than America?' ANSWERED, DIPSHITS

I like it here, thanks anyway!
Same here. I'd be willing to put 5 bucks into the "America Haters Emigration Fund" charity if there is one that forcibly exports them to the socialist workers or Islamist paradise of their preference.

And which country is better than America? We are anxious to know.

Better or worse is really a matter of one's own perspective. I wouldn't mind living in Europe for a year or two maybe as part of a job or something. It would be a cool experience, but I would never want to stay there permanently. The U.S. is the only country I'd want to live in.

You mean that you've never been outside this country, but would be interested in seeing somewhere other than the USA, but, because you've never been anywhere else, the devil you know is better than the devil you don't, which is why you state that the only country you'd like to live in would be here.

I've been to 26 different countries, and there are SEVERAL that I would live in if given the chance. Palma and Ibiza, Spain are 2 places for starters........Portugal and Italy wouldn't be bad as well.

It is truly sad the human lifespan is so short, that you cannot absorb and experience the World you stand on. I think you are right to suggest location location location. There are places in America that would be considered the best location, depending on how you define the best. Sometimes all it takes is a mountain stream teaming with trout for dinner.

Having been to at least 4 of the countries on your list including Hong Kong I can definitely tell you without any doubt that despite looking good on paper etc., there isn't one I'd trade for America. They all have their draw backs.

They have all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Canada ranks higher than America. However, there are many, many more Canadians in America than Americans in Canada.

True enough. Although as a place to live, Canada would definately be the only other nation on the list that I would consider living in. Something about wide open spaces has always been a neccessary item for my psyche.

See, I'm exactly the opposite. I don't feel comfortable unless I'm within 200 miles of the Ocean.

I certainly appreciate your posting those stats.

I imagine many of us, prior to viewing that list, were cognizant of the fact that SOME countries had higher standards of living and MORE freedom than America

however
America is STILL a great country in many ways

and though I think it can be tweaked here and there to be made BETTER STILL
I'm still proud of my country
and I would love to see America place better/higher in those statistics...

Wouldn't it be nice if America, statistically, was proven to have the highest/best standard of living?

It's all relative...

There's no such thing as best that is quantifable...

If that were true, then why all the descriptors?

Best
Winner
Finest
Ultimate
Superior
Alpha
Champion

With the exception of sport, everything else is a popularity contest. And even with sport, the person or team is usually only the best for that year, or that competition.

I should clarify that when I say 'beer', I actually mean vodka. Same thing when I order wine or a coke.

In all those scenarios, what 'd really like to drink is vodka.
