What Could Have Been: The Most Important Bills Blocked By Republicans In 2012

Wow, I'm proud to have voted GOP down the line. None of that stuff is worth a shit. Anyone who thinks so is a big fucking dumbass.

It's interesting they ignore the 40some bills the House sent the senate that are collecting dust on harrys desk.

Those do not reflect the liberal viewpoint so they don't matter.

Thank God. Who wants more laws? You really want the people who put us trillions in debt doing more stuff with the money they take from us by force?

Good grief, this is a joke..

the paycheck fairness act.... wtf?

a minimum wage hike in this economy would bring back business hiring alright..

and how do you love the left is supporting some unelected billionaire to make up rules that we should follow?

gawd help us from idiots like thinkprogress

1. A minimum wage increase.

2. Campaign finance transparency.

3. The Buffett Rule.

4. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

5. U.N. treaty to protect the equal rights of the disabled.

6. The Paycheck Fairness Act.

What makes them important?

It was certainly important to block them. Three cheers for gridlock!

Come on 2014...

Yes! The Democrats own the economy. It's fiscal cliff, baby. Higher taxes, lower economic growth. We're heading for recession and guess who the captain of the ship is.

Everything is on the GOP's shoulders. The polls show the american people strongly support Obama's plan and strongly dislike Boner's. If the deal isn't made and we do go over the fiscal cliff, all the blame will go to the GOP.

This is why they suffered electoral losses in both branches ;) They have been & continue to be "The party of No"

Was just gonna say the same thing.

Its not just the rw's who have kneejerk, non-thinking comments. The pubpots in office still haven't gotten word that they got their butts beat in the election.

So, the Rs will just keep voting against jobs and economic growth but the majority of Americans do want our country to be strong and successful.

Good links Lakhota. Thanks.

oddball
Strange that lolberals, and all the lolberal buttpipes at the shamelessly biased blogs that get spammed by the shameless hack OP, failed to mention an annual budget as one of these "most important bills".

As always, you're fee to prove those links have published erroneous information.

Not just the polls. The election sent that message, loud and clear.

Love your avatar.

If they are so bad why not bring them up for a vote then (like it's been done for a couple hundred yrs or so) and humiliate the House?

Why waste the time? Democrats control the Senate and Reid determines what comes up for vote.

Waste of time? What the fuck has the Senate done that they don't have any time?

They took the day off so that they could see the Lincoln movie.

Why is everything boiled down to two? Why do people accept that like it's a glorious act to decide who pisses on you? Both parties want 2 things: to control you more and to line the pockets of their well tailored pants and those of their closest hombres.

Pick one that you think is 100% accurate.

Oh, so you don't believe that an annual budget -just one of those nagging trivial constitutional responsibilities, I know- is a most important bill, either.

Duly noted.

Including the job stimulus bill for returning veterans which Republican senators voted against? Arm forces veterans have an unemployment rate that is double that of the general public and yet Republican Senators voted against any sort of job stimulus package for them.

After seeing the list, good thing they were blocked. That's what republican voters cast their votes for.
