Say someone is an atheist. They can clearly see that there is not any sort of active and benevolent deity acting in humanity's interests. There is no afterlife. There is no soul. It's all pretty self evident really. That same person is also aware that none of this means the visible world is all there is, though, based on the same experiential evidence. There are clearly entities which seem to be non-corporeal if not simply beings inhabiting higher spatial dimensions. This same person also reveres such things as the sky and natural world, sex and pregnancy, and the their ancestors. It's distinct from traditional animism in that there is none of these things are actually worshipped or seen as independent and sentient forces. They're simply held in a great deal of respect.

So, what exactly is that philosophy? "Spiritual but not religious" wouldn't really fit without any kind of theism. "Paganism" doesn't really work either, both because of the non-theistic aspect and the lack of any crazy hippy dippy bullshit about ye oldene magjicalle faeiriey goddyess queenes. It's clearly not Abrahamic or Dharmic either.

Paganism requires no "faith" or belief in the physical existence of gods or goddesses, although such is very common. "Paganism" is a term that inadequately describes many groups of people who share some spiritual and cultural similarities but alas are incredibly different on so many levels.

Nobody can tell you if you are Pagan or not, you just know. That being said... you are no Pagan lol
