What can republicans do for blacks?

In the thirties most Americans accepted the idea that blacks were inferior in sports, oh blacks could box but could not play football or baseball like whites. The evidence, was pretty overwhelming, a black college player was indeed rare, and the pros had absolutely no black players. Blacks simply could not compete in either college or pro sports.
This is not the 30s.
Not any longer in sports and perhaps the military, but maybe it is still the Thirties, or worse, in education and other areas. It is a slow process, and maybe a costly one for America?
thought we covered that, the majority of minority schools have a higher spending per student than the white schools, the books are the same, the opportunity to learn is the same.

No, it's not.

Educators, and America have been busting our asses for decades trying to help out the brothers, and this is the thanks we get?

Still being blamed for the shit that isn't our fault?

lets put it in perspective.
we are being blamed for shit that we didn't do by people that it wasn't done to.
for them to admit that would endanger their black privileged way of life.

How do u explain ALL minorities leaning democrat .

Even Jewish people . They paid off by the dems too?

The "Republicans are racist" liberal propaganda that's broadcast 24/7.
You think Jews are that dumb and/or Republicans are that smart?

Mitt Romney (liberal RINO) in a recent interview with David Axelrod bitched and complained about how the rise of conservative media and alternative media has wrecked any opportunity for compromise in Washington. Compromise aka Republicans caving to Democrats demands.

Rush Limbaugh pointed out that the good old days Mitt is longing for was when Democrats had a complete monopoly. They owned congress, the three major networks, and the print media. They controlled the news that people were allowed to hear and how it was spun. More importantly they blacked out news Democrats did not want the people to hear. The Republicans were perpetual losers, Democrats ran the whole show and would throw a few bones to the Republicans in exchange for them caving.

In simple terms you had the employees (congress) scheming, filtering, and hiding their incompetence and corruption from their boss (the people). Since they controlled the flow of information they could and did get away with pretty much anything they wanted. Conservative media, alternative media, it dragged government's incompetence and corruption out into the daylight for the people to see, THAT's what has pissed off the Washington establishment, the boss is now looking over their shoulders and calling them on the carpet.

Spending per pupil doesn't mean shit . Budgets can vary for many reasons . And it's not the same books ect.

And if you got hired after an interview, then you were not just hired under objective criteria .

There was this interesting study. They sent out identical resumes to employers . Some of the resumes had "black " names and the others did not . The non black name resumes had a higher rate of call backs for interviews .

its sad that you see "compromise " as giving in to dems demands .

It's people like you that are the problem .

Spending per pupil shows the intent of the wider community and the resources available to the schools.

And yes, it does not have much impact on outcomes.

Because that is mostly driven by the parents.

Tell me how that is my fault.

It is our fault if we ignore or make excuses for a major educational problem in the US. This one problem is: should all American children be educated on an equal basis?
As abolitionists questioned slavery so many years ago and with people thinking about slavery as right or wrong slavery was abolished, We then went further and segregation was modified. Awareness may be the first attempt to solve a problem. In a democracy one of the keys is convincing the American people there is a problem and correcting the problem would be good for nation.
One of our problems today is to make all Americans as self sufficient as possible and for the poor the beginning might be an equal education for all. Make people more self sufficient, and at the same time discover the way to create a job for every able bodied American. Education is only one facet of a problem.
But you are correct in that America has been solving its problems through the years in fair fashion. We abolished slavery, started on desegregating, did a fair job on educating, worked on health care, have a program for the aged and on and on.

We haven't been ignoring or making excuse for a major educational problem in the US.

So, why are we being blamed for shit that isn't our fault.

If anything we are taking blame we should not be taking.

And "equal education" is not benefit to someone who doesn't need or want it.

Not everyone is going to college. Hell, not everyone is going to finish High School.

Yes, and where some kids go to elementary school determines whether they will go or not go to college and not finish high school.

Nope. That the population of the community is dysfunctional ruins the school and creates the opportunity for you libs to blame something or someone other than the high rate of illegitimacy.

So is illegitimacy related to poverty and is poverty related to education?

So is illegitimacy related to poverty and is poverty related to education?

illegitimacy causes poverty and harms education.

Meanwhile we've spend 50 years trying to treat the symptoms while even discussing the disease was taboo.

Naturally we have failed.

I live in a suburb that one time had the best schools in the county. The neighborhood began to change and thanks to 0% down and no credit check, lowlifes were buying homes in our suburb. Along with them came the crime.

The schools went to hell. After a while, they could no longer celebrate 4th of July because of the gang fights and riots. Eventually they stopped football games. Those poor kids (as you call them) destroyed everything for everybody else. Teachers would get assaulted at least once a month and the good ones left.

So allow me to teach you a little something about the poor: If you take 3/4 cup of fresh wholesome milk and mix that with 1/4 cup of stale curdled milk, you only have one thing, and that is a cup of bad milk.

Why do you leftists bring up ship from 50, 100, 200 years ago to try and make a point about something going on today?

Then why do so many keep claiming that opportunities for blacks isn't the same as whites?

Cause the opportunities aren't the same .

If blacks sit in the same classes as whites, tell me why you think they aren't the same.

Of the same culture and economic background--they are the same.

Irrelevant factors.

If they are getting the same thing when it comes to what the entity giving it is supposed to be doing, those other factors don't matter.

Really ? Ok let's throw an example out . Public schools . Do you think all public schools
Are equal?

Schools are like neighborhoods. When you talk about a neighborhood, you can talk about the churches, the schools, the shopping malls, the entertainment, the property and home sizes. But what really makes a good neighborhood are the neighbors. Same holds true with schools.

I was taught in a Catholic school and a very small one at that. We averaged about 40 kids to a classroom. We had no lockers. We had no cafeteria. We had no library. We had no football fields. We didn't switch classes. We didn't have college educated teachers; we had nuns. The class that they gave you was where you sat all day.

Yet student per student, we would out perform any public school children on any level of academics.

We can discuss issues on what to do wh our Ed system . But this issue came up as "we all have the sAme opportunities " claim.

Yeah I went to catholic school too. The teachers were idiots . BUT they had a big advantage as they could just throw out problem kids and not accept special needs kids .

Public schools do not have that option . Maybe they shoould ? But that's another topic .

Names do mean a lot. In your example, what if an employer got an application from a white guy named Bull Ozmari?
