Top 5 in Bold... The next 4 are not.

#1 by far... and way ahead of #2 is Say Anything.

Maybe the greatest "date movie" of my generation.

#2a High Fidelity (because of Jack Black)
#2b Better Off Dead

#4 One Crazy Summer
#5 The Sure Thing

#6 Being John Malkovich
#7 Runaway Jury... just liked him in that. Didn't care so much for the political message
#8 Must Love Dogs
#9 Sixteen Candles

Notes:
* Sixteen Candles would rank higher than most of the other movies, but I don't really consider it a John Cusack movie so it falls, but remains in the top 9.

* Being John Malkovich is technically a better movie than just about everything but maybe Say Anything, but those other movies are more my "favorite" movies.

I enjoyed them.

In order...

1. High Fidelity
2. Being John Malkovich
3. Say Anything
4. Grosse Pointe Blank
5. Better Off Dead...

Although, he was great in Cradle Will Rock, too. But, that was more of an ensemble, he didn't really stand out any more than anybody else.

as a major role:

High Fidelity
Grosse Pointe Blank
Say Anything...
Eight Men Out
Identity

as a minor role:

The Journey of Natty Gann
Sixteen Candles
Stand by Me

What is Eight Men Out? I've never heard of it.

Right after I watched Identity, I thought it was decent. But, the more I thought about it, the more I realized how crappy the writing was and how big of an "eff you" it was to the audience.

you've never seen eight men out? its the story of the chicago black sox and how the threw the world series. its a good movie. its on a lot before and during the baseball season.
