My 13 year old stepson came to visit; he has been around dogs, including big, kind of mean and half feral dogs, all his life. His grandparents live in a pretty isolated area, and always have a bunch of dogs (aka "pack") that run with all the grandkids all over the country up there, including a few saints at different times.
So he and my big boy definitely had a good time. They played. They ran, they rolled around on the ground and got wet at the beach. My kids are smaller than the dog, so I don't allow them to roughhouse with him, but their big brother is just the right size...big enough to hold his own and stop when it's time to stop, but kid enough to want to really play.
He also enjoyed the crazy little dog but primarily as a tool to torment his big brother and uncle..."I dare you to pick that dog up" sort of thing, lol.
