Um, and what caused the global economic collapse? I seem to remember a deregulated Wall St. selling gilded shit to other nations' governments and swearing up and down these sure-thing "investments" were sound and AAA - ESPECIALLY IN EUROPE (though not in Europe - see Iceland for a perfect example). Also, just like in Ireland, it wasn't the "people" who caused the collapse, but corrupt bankers and politicians.
