Were the Pilgrims Terrorists or Illegal Aliens?

The different native tribes had diseases and different languages too. They gave each other diseases, stole each others land, and did not learn each others languages.

The pilgrims were just another tribe. A more technologically advanced tribe.

They didn't give each others diseases on the order that European settlers did and they did learn each others languages. Sure they stole land from each other. You're one for three, that IS bad.

As far as technology goes that didn't help them get their own food, they needed help. They did have guns and were hard workers, however. Remind you of anyone?

Native Americans gave the White Man the glorious gift of TOBACCO.

It killed far more white people than any disease that might have been contracted from a blanket.
It's odd that you'd compare tobacco to smallpox laden blankets. No one had any idea about the harm in tobacco, smallpox infested blankets was genocide.

Simply looking at the end results.

90% of whites died in a century?

No one made anyone smoke the stuff.

Come on here, guys.

If Native Americans (and I cringe every time I have to use that contrived term) had been smart enough to write, develop their own technology, they would have gone across the ocean and made Europe their own the same way Europeans did in America.

And, by Manitou, WHAT A HAPPY PLACE EARTH WOULD BE TODAY!!!!

Sounds like three for three to Me. They did give each other diseases. The severity of those diseases was not listed and has no bearing on the premise.

They [native tribes] made war with each other. In the case of both sides, they were human and had human tendencies to violence, greed, acquisition and lordship over their fellow man. The notion of the 'noble savage' is just good psychological manipulation through advertisement.

1. The diseases the native tribes spread were far less destructive than the overwhelming pandemics that swept through Native America for almost three centuries.

2. English, French, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, etc, compounded European communication as easily as did the native languages.

3. The native tribes did not need European technology. Remember that natives taught the Pilgrims and the Cavaliers how to farm properly in the New World.

Watch ShootSpeeders and Katzndogz write nasty racists notes below.

1. There were instances were the tribes that migrated to the northeast part of North America before the pilgrim tribe gave diseases to the tribe from Europe. Small pox is a global disease. Trade from Europe to east Asia gave Europeans many immunities to global diseases. It was inevitable for the Asian tribes that migrated to America to be exposed to them.

2. The great thing about English (modern English being completely remote from old English) is that it is now nearly understood by all in our country today. But to suggest the pilgrim tribe didn't try to learn the language of those they'd conquer is ignorant.

3. The migrating tribes from Asia absolutely loved the European technology. They traded for it regularly, often trading land for technology.
