As the economy and his poll numbers improved in March, so did the favorability of his media coverage, but the president still has yet to see more positive coverage than negative in 2012.

Rosenstiel dismissed the notion that the data could offer insight into the stereotype of a politically liberal media.

“A lot of what you see in tone reflects external events,” he said. “It doesn’t just reflect subliminal attitudes.”

So, the press coverage is right in line with approval numbers and external events. Other polls show that most want Obamacare repealed, for instance, and if media reports on public opinion, it would be considered negative toward Obama. Looks like his policies just aren't popular and maybe some things are just too difficult to spin, so reporting the truth is all that's left. Of course, the liberal media doesn't spend time on each issue surrounding Obama, as with the Solyndra scandal, yet they carry on for days when it's a Republican.
