Welfare voter push? or Democrat vote buying?

Veterans deserve what they get. Most also will not be voting for Obama which is why he wants to surpress their votes.

Really?

Frankly, I'm having a hard time justifying that I should get lifetime medical benefits because I was active duty military for a few years in peacetime in the late 1980's.

It was a job, for which I was paid money, until I moved on to something else.

If I sustained injuries in combat, then, yeah, that's what the VA should be there for.

Ironically, the VA is exactly the sort of government agency you guys should be against. When it started, you had lots of injured vets from the world wars who really needed help. Up until the Iraq War, with the percentage of us who carry a DD214 dwindling, they expanded what they offered to keep their budgets up to the same levels.

The benfits are on a sliding scale, you must apply with your income and from there they determine how much of a copay you have. To many it is not free, but it is very good health insurance by a very good operation.

Which means I wouldn't qualify for it, and I'm sure it's a good system for those who need it.

But you see, if you are going to say that health care benefits should be earned and not a public service like the rest of the world does it (and I'm playing devil's advocate here), why should someone get a lifetime of benefits because after he left the military, he hasn't been able to find a better paying job...

If you give free healthcare to anyone else, it's more along the lines of "SOOOCIALISM", but they are totally good with socialism for veterans, probably because a lot of them feel guilty about not signing up themselves.

I was called for Desert Storm but, I was still a single parent and they would not let me. I would had loved to go camping with the boys of the Army. All I would have done was 27E or 52D or maybe a 71L. The jobs I held in the military.

I was a 76Y, which is really the best job in the Army. Everyone wants to be your buddy.

Do you lose your right to vote when you receive welfare?

You're complaining because more Americans might vote?

My complaint is that we are approaching the point where 50.1% of the population will not be voting in the countries best interest, but to preserve getting money via the government from the other 40.9% percent.

At that point we are in deep deep trouble.

I totally agree with your position; however, I think your math is wrong (50.1% and 40.9% do not add up to 100%).

Thats what I get when posting late at night. will correct.

Benefits are called benefits for a reason. Welfare is not a "benefit"

“Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.” – Benjamin Franklin

Where is the outrage over corporate welfare? Agri business welfare?
Rich people are paying less in taxes as a percentage of income than the rest of the nation.

Mittens paid 13.9%, Kerry paid 13.1%, all cause they can deduct expenses. They have turned the USA into a plutocracy and we agin have lost the republic to these vultures of money and riches, just like before the Great Depression.

Why is percentage the measuring stick always used as a supposed marker of "fairness?"
They still pay the majority of taxes per capita, and overall.

Because they have the majority of the wealth, which is the problem. WHenever you have a system where 1% of the population has half the wealth or more, you have an economy that is essentially broken.

Capital gains is investment income.

Yes it is, they're not even trying to hide it. It's horrible

You guys have no one to blame but yourselves...

You put capital over labor, and now labor is voting against you...

This is what I've pointed out many times. When you cheat working people out of jobs, wages and benefits so a few rich douchebags can get richer, you make more of them dependent on government.

And then they totally vote for more of that shit.

It's kind of how you guys have become self-defeating.

omg...no pride left in this country...now people feel entitled to suck off taxpayers and tell them it's their fault they are doing it

Wrong hater there is no set amount of wealth. How do you people live being haters? worrying about what someone else has....Pathetic:eusa_eh:

Then you would have to go to a wealth tax, not an income tax, and a wealth tax would be ruinous to the economy.

It all boils down to envy over someone else having more than you.

It's not worried about what someone else has, it's worried about how it is used.

Quickly, what is the greater good, spending $77,000 curing Mrs. Stopic's Cancer or spending $77,000 on a Dressage Horse that came in 13th place in the Olympics?

Well, gee, I think anyone who is sane would say, "Yeah, saving Mrs. Stopic would be the better thing to do!"

wow...that is none of your business how anyone SPENDS their own monies...
do you worry about all the homes, cars, yachts, etc all the people in CONGRESS has?
you have went off the deep end with this

No... you don't... but the larger amount of people receiving freebies or not being taxed on their income, the more you can guarantee they will vote to keep taking more and more

This is why so many want to end entitlements and have equal taxation law... because if someone stops getting something for nothing, and starts having a stake in the game, generally they will look more closely at how government is spending what is taken away in taxes

Big labor?? When you are getting handouts and SOMETHING FOR NOTHING (I.E. Welfare) it is NOT FUCKING LABOR

Oh, and in our republic, you are not supposed to be able to vote your way into anyone else's earnings

Idiots

I think I hit it right on the nail. For all your "Christian" platitudes, the notion that anyone would let someone like Mrs. Stopic die so he could have a Polo Pony is kind of sorry. It's an immoral system, and you support it.. and the ironic thing is you get no benefit from doing so...

I think it's a powerful campaign ad.. and it hits the issue right on the head.

When someone like Romney gets rich, someone else loses... this is just tidal gravity..

Maybe it's time we turned the tides...

Wrong....You're a joke, not even worth talking to. Brainwashed idiot …If Romney were broke nobody would be better off...Unbelievable the stupidity of the liberal mind..or lack there of:eusa_eh:

NO, it's welfare recipients who are voting against America.
