WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork) — Congressman Anthony Weiner said Thursday he’s finished talking about the lewd photo sent from his Twitter account.

But he still wouldn’t say whether he’s the one in the picture.

So CBS 2 political reporter Marcia Kramer decided to go to his office on Capitol Hill to try to get you some answers.

    You’ll never believe what happened.

Kramer tried to get an interview with the six-term New York Democrat and as a result had the cops called on her.

NY Congressman Anthony Weiner Says He's Done Talking About Twitter Photo, Time To Get Back To Work « CBS New York

the only people more clueless than oscar meyer are his staff

In a long list of stupid reactions by Weiner, this might be the stupidest.

I am still unconvinced that he sent the picture himself as the person that "broke" the story alluded to a coming sex scandal involving Weiner a couple of weeks before it happened.

The interesting thing is that he won't file a complaint so that the incredible law-enforcement arm of the federal government can investigate. Instead he hired a security firm to investigate the alleged hacking of his Twitter account. The only reason I can think of is that he wants to control the investigation and if the feds took over they might find more than he barganed for.

Did you say "oscar meyer" and "staff" in the same sentence?

    Sure looks that way!

Apparently this story isn't even true. There is no evidence the cops were called. She was simply asked by the police to provide ID, as was at least one other person.

Be sure to watch the video at the end.

i watched the video. there's nothing there to support the TPM attempted spin on this re: the reporter. if you choose to believe that the police routinely wander the halls of the capitol bldg, checking ids, good on you. i'm going to go with the police showing up after being called.

They were in the halls when we visited the Congressional office building two summers ago. Security in and out of government buildings in Washington is not to be believed, Del.

This is why Weiner wanted to save taxpayer money by not reporting the hacks - he wanted to use it to have the police harass reporters instead.

    What a budget manager!
