About 300,000 people are employed by the insurance companies.

Now you could argue that it takes 1,000,000 government employees to replace 300,000 private sector insurance employees, but that doesn't take into account the 1,000,000s of private sector jobs lost when 100s of 1000s of hospitals, Immediate Care, and small private practices close because they can't stay in business with Medicare patients only.

If Medicare for All follows the current structure, it will be farmed out to private insurance companies anyway. They'll just have government as middleman.
