I thought it was a great deed a definite win for Trump when he "brought home" the UCLA boys. But then he chucked it in the garbage when he started tweeting about it. Now there are questions... What exactly did he negotiate? Had he not intervened what would have happened to the boys?

Remember these were guest athletes in the country to play basketball. After they were caught stealing they were not thrown in jail, they were taken back to their hotel room and detained. Lets say Trump didn't say a word. Do you really think China would have thrown their guest athletes in jail? Thats a long shot. I think they would have been asked to make a public apology and then come home. Maybe a fine. Trump turned it into him saving them from 10 years in jail.... I have a feeling there was more going on with that situation than just Trump and China.

I don't know exactly what Trump did or what would have happened had he not stepped in but now thats what we are talking about... Its been a brilliant diversion from real issues.
