We need socialized medicine in America.

See??

Ignorance.

I'd bet that not one of those who are against ObamaCare can say what the effective date for the various parts are.

(How about you, vampire boy? I'm sure you have a 146 page pdf on it.)

Yes, and you can tell us the exact premium cost for this coverage. :cuckoo:

Of course not. Surely you know that's a really dumb question. I have no idea what your individual situation is, preexisting conditions, kids and other variables. And I do not work for an insurance company. I know about my own family's policy. If you're an adult, then you shoulld know the same thing. Unless of course, you get free care at your local emergency room, the expense of the rest of us.

You can thank the Repubs for that because the Dems think you should pay your own way.

Also really dumb is saying that poor Chinese are better off being dirt poor slaves to their masters.

Yet you are positive it will be cheaper than waht is available now. How interesting. I have coverage. No, Dems think I should pay for mine and subsidize yours. Even dumber is sticking a strawman in your argument.

actually when the Chinese switched to Republican capitalism the poor who had literally been starving to death suddenly got rich.

Its a simple example, but of course it will be over a liberals head.

Yeah, China is rife with rich people and virtually no poverty.

They are certainly better off than they were under Mao. Communism/socialism always impoverishes a people. It will always be thus.

Not the ones that work in sweat shops for pennies.

folks who volunteer to work in sweat shops for pennies do it because it is a vast improvement over slowly starving to death under liberalism.

Did the liberal think that when the car was invented in America everyone could immediately afford to buy one????. In fact economic development takes much time and not everyone prospers at the same rate. or at the same time.

I'm trying to be simple but even that may be over a liberal's head, sadly?
That was Henry Ford's idea, that his employees could drive the cars they made, and it worked.

I wont pay for someone elses problems, nor would i expect any different for me. Meubarf,i will eliminate the entitlement society. You should be ashamed to be a.minister. God empowers us to do for ourselves.
Do you think it's possible for you to become poor? Or do you think it can't happen?

This country would never permit the kind of freedom they have in China. Nor would this government allow the kind of law enforcement they have in China.

Which conservative wants to do away with our Veteran's Administration? It's working great and it's totally Socialist ... totally government run.

I wouldn't mind getting the government out of it and privatizing (sp?) it.
Corporate America would sure love that. They could get quite a profit out of it while raising the cost of doing business.

More likely the opposite would happen if health care were truly privatized and the government didn't micro manage it. People would have more choices when both hospitals and insurance companies actually have to compete and more competition drives prices DOWN, not up.

The GOP health care plan..

The most frustrating aspect of the campaign to socialize medicine is that it's simply too divisive to achieve positive results. If, instead, reformers focused on the problem that all sides (liberals, conservatives and libertarians) agree on, namely that health care inflation is out of control, we might actually make progress.

I for one have been focused on the later and what I am constantly battling liberals about is that socializing medicine WILL NOT achieve those agreed upon goals.

On top of that there are goals that the two sides don't actually agree on. For example, the basic principle of whom should pay for healthcare. That's why I started that other thread way back when asking whether it's a right or not? Are liberals being honest in saying health care costs to much and that there is a price that is acceptable to them or is the reality that they believe we should have a system where people don't have to have to be burdened by worrying how much the health care they need will cost them? I tend to think the later is the reality. That's the only reason one would argue for socialized medicine because that is not a sensical way to keep the cost to consumers down.
