Competition breeds excellence and we have fallen behind. The USA used to have the biggest bridge in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. Now China has smashed it with Danyang–Kunshan Grand Bridge. That thing is about 100 miles long with an artificial island in it. A giant public works project should be started to help stimulate the economy. Roosevelt did it, Trump can do it too. We still have no bridges across the wider parts of the Great Lakes. Imagine a bridge connecting Michigan to Wisconsin or perhaps a bridge from Northern Michigan to Canada that passes over Isle Royale.
We also need a wall around the whole country big enough to support the world's biggest train, a 3 million pound coal powered locomotive. It would be the envy of the entire world.
China has the world's biggest train and the world's longest bridge, not to mention the biggest wall. What's next, where does it stop?
