WE HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM CAUSED BY

Two wars, an extended tax cut for the rich, and 30 million unemployed Americans not paying taxes and creating a necessary need for temporary unemployment insurance, food stamps, medical care and subsidized housing assistance that they have earned when they were working and paying taxes going in to the entitlement system the GDGOPC like to refer to as “handouts” and “freebies.” They have paid for these “handouts” and “freebies” and we owe them. These are not long term users of entitlements programs they have paid into but because the Bush administration allowed corporations to take tax cuts and take jobs overseas creating jobs in China and India where people like Romney invested in. Bush intended the tax cuts for the rich to expire in 2010 but Obama extended it to pay the ransom for the middle class.

If the “good for nothing” GDGOP Congress want to cut entitlements to balance the budget and pay down the deficit they should start by cutting their own generous salary they do not earn, the Government healthcare and the generous retirement with healthcare. It should be based on time in Congress and the jobs they did. Not raising retirement age so people will have to work 50 years and die before they collect social security and Medicare while they live high on the hog on their retirement.

Putting Americans back to work and deporting Illegal Aliens and their anchor babies will create revenue and cut entitlements spending that was due to unemployment.
Don’t let the GDGOPC punish the poor by cutting off their hands.

Obama you must know by now that you cannot “play nice” with the GDGOP congress because they take it as a sign of weakness.

So what was the cause of all the debt before the wars and the Bush tax cuts? It's both sad and funny how some of the truly moronic seem to think that all that started in 2000 with Bush.

Government revenues are as high as they've ever been, and the troll here KNOWS it.The bottom line is, we have a SPENDING problem and that is an undeniable fact.

If we restored Constitutional government, we could cut taxes by 50% across the board and still have a surplus.

Slightly off topic, but food for thought.

Kind of like the man caused global warming BS.

They can't explain how it happened centuries before combustible engines, but all of a sudden we cause it.

The liberal/progressive mind is a weird machine.

Every one calm down. There is a solution to this problem.

All postal employees go to work for Google.

It's my understanding that the country has been in debt since, oh... Andrew Jackson.

The liberal/progressive mind is a weird machine.

It's a common misconception that mankind is causing global warming. We are a factor, but not the sole reason.

The Earth goes in cycles of hot and cold; warmer weather slowly slides into a small "Ice Age" of sorts, then warms up again. These periods, for a time, became further and further apart as Earth became more geologically stable, as not as much dust and ash was shot up into the atmosphere, perpetuating the hot/cold cycle.

With the advent of fossil fuels, we've essentially taken the place of that geological activity, both on a smaller and larger scale. Humans constantly are making the Earth warmer to a degree, but not in the large "bursts" that Earth did to itself over the course of history.

We're accelerating it (and even then, not to the level some people would have you believe), but mankind alone isn't causing it.

Correct and we were only out of debt under Jackson for a year or so.

Definitely NOT a fan of Michael Savage, but he is correct when he says "Liberalism is a mental disorder."

By which version of Liberalism does he mean?
Does he mean modern day liberals, of which I am not? I could see an argument for that.

Or does he mean the textbook (#1a and #1b in the following link) definition of liberal, of which I am? Then I don't see what's so bad about wanting to challenge traditional values.

It's fucking sad & tragic beyond words when over $100 million will fund a government for 20 minutes....

Total spending in fiscal year 2012 was $3.54 trillion. Put in other terms, the government spent an average $9.7 billion a day, $404.1 million an hour, and $6.7 million per minute. Do the math, and that $132.9 million in tax revenue would fund the entire federal government for a whopping 20 minutes.

The U.S. Can Learn From Canada on Taxes and Spending

For the last 20 years, the Canadian government has worked to reduce federal spending. With the fiscal cliff in our very near future, our government can learn a few lessons from our neighbors to the north.

Today, Canada’s federal government spending accounts for only 38 percent of government spending at all levels. By comparison, in the U.S., the federal government accounts for 71 percent of all government spending.

The Canadian government has cut spending everywhere except health care.

Canada also cut corporate income tax rates. The U.S. has the highest rate among its competitors in the industrialized world. The combined federal and state corporate rate in the U.S. is over 39 percent. Canada now has a combined rate of only 25 percent.

Actually we have a Republican problem- the greedy rich ones when they're in power, and the debt cult brainwashed dupes when we're trying to recover...
