Today voters told congress that we will not stand by and let the government control the people, but that the people control the government. This is great but it must be just the beginning if we want to fix the country we love. We need to do this in every election. We need to get rid of the career politicians, and it would make congress more effective. If they knew that they were likely only in for one term or two they wouldn't worry about pleasing interest groups or long time members, they would work to help their constituent more.

Sounds nice, but I don't think that they can pass laws to build factories here in the USA instead of in China....there is no easy fix to the US economy.

It's fine! Obama just printed another trillion greens!

Nevermind the risk of hyper-inflation.... Obama will solve all our economic problems before the ink is dry.

*Sarcasm off.

I'm with you. This was only a skirmish in a much larger battle and it won't be solved by one election or even two.

We are going to have to bring it not only every election BUT EVERY DAY!

Hold those tea party rallies, write those emails, and support those candidates.

The Dems haven't heard the last of this!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

More anti-dem rah rahing instead of the hard, mature work of working on issues. Pat yourself on the back for being childish.

No wait, pick specific issues (not just the generic, "we need to take this country back" bullshit) and work hard to make sure that they are solved correctly. Put all the "libs suck" shit to the side because it doesnt do you any good.

Take this opportunity and run with it. Hell, I'm in the middle...i want a balanced budget and lower debt if you can make it happen. Here's your chance. But if you run over the dems like you complained that Obama did with you...dont go nuts when people whine like you did.

There is no better way to pay off trillions of debt than with worthless money.

Okay, so the Rs have taken back the House and eliminated the lock the Dems had on the Senate, too.

So what now?

What POLICIES will they advance?

So McCain lost?

IF the GOP can give the American people a sound economy, THEN they will be able to advance their supply-sider philosophy.

We just saw the American people punish the Dems for failing to solve this economic problem fast enough.

The GOP has two years to prove that they can get things done that serve the interests of enough Americans.

If they can, good for them.

If they cannot?

Well who knows?

Perhaps the American people are finally waking up to the fact that neither party is going to much change the economic dynamic.

Of course, the fact that they'll still be facing choosing btween two parties or "throwing away their vote" will probably mean that we'll vascilate between the Ds and Rs for some time to come.

Put a big enough tax on imports and they will come home. Politicians say that will affect our exports. What do we export anymore? Food, If they want to starve let them refuse our exports.
