We Can’t Afford War

Consider what would happen if worldwide peace broke out

HOW many grown men and women would come home, to this country alone, looking for work? Add those numbers to the already downplayed unemployment statistics. War and the threat of war has been a growth (many consider those to be the only acceptable) industry that keeps ever higher unemployment numbers at bay.

Like Amy points out, there ARE more beneficial ways to employ our HUMAN resources and our money, but as the MIC will tell you, and has taught us all, that would be :ack-1: socialism.

Started to listen to it but couldn't get past the first minute when she said we can't win.

You Libs said we couldn't win in Iraq either.

You say we can't afford war but what you libs really mean is you don't want to spend money on defense. You'd rather have health care.

Well that's all fine and dandy but our Constitution mandates Defense, it doesn't mandate health care. "Provide for the common defense promote the general welfare...". Those are two different words and you can't change the meaning of them. Yeah, you can debate the size of the Defense department, but not it's existence.

Besides, disarming and hoping for peace shows complete misunderstanding of human nature. You and I may be able to agree not to hit each other but there is no guarantee that others will not. In fact, there's no guarantee that we won't hit each other is there? Better keep your defenses up and you have to prepare for the inevitability of the day that happens, because it will.

Remember, the bullies in H.S. picked on those they perceived as weak. That lesson applies world wide.

So, when are we going to win in Iraq?

Come on people this is 100% correct. I mean a good reason not to war has always been about cost. We can spend the money on great government programs like giving condoms to 8 year olds, equipping parks with equipment so drug addicts can properly dispose of their needles, and lawsuits against our own states and citizens because they want to actually enforce a Federal Government law!

No one wants to hurt us.
We all live in a world of peace.
Protection is not needed.
Capitalism is bad.
War is bad and Republican.
Obama Inc is the light!
Obama will save you!
