Or at least that's what one index I follow is telling me. It says that the economy slipped into mild contraction within the last few weeks. I can't post it because it's proprietary but it has been remarkably prescient, and accurately forecasted both the recession and recovery before it became clear either event had occurred.
If we're not in a recession we must be too damn close, and no reason to think it's gonna get better. But we do have reasons to think it could worsen.

Krugman calls it a depression, which us libertarians have to thank him for if only because it makes Barry look worse than ever. Barry is well on his way to beating FDR's record of extending a recession for 10 years, needlessly. But, if he succeeds he'll be a great liberal hero just like FDR.
