Was Romney a "RINO"? Conservatives chime in.

Reagan wasn't a conservative. Going by his record, he was far more of a socialist than anything else.
Though I do agree that Reagan was a cheap imitation of a "conservative" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean anymore) once in office, he did run as one.

"run" or "govern"? He agreed to raise taxes 7-times, gave amnesty to illegals, & tripled the nat'l debt no?
Irrelevant to the fact that he ran and won on a relatively strong conservative pretext.

He had a Democrat Congress to deal with

He also defeated Soviet Communism and jump started the economy

Weeeeeee!!!!!! It's always happy fun times in PsychMed Land!

Romney and the Moderates used their fiercest attacks against Ron Paul and Newt.
they had no chance although I liked some of Paul's platform, he was too old AND the military industrial complex ($) wouldn't allow him to turn off the spigot of tax-$ going to the pentagon ($ 100's of BILLIONS). And Newt? Come on. His record (hypocrisy @ adultery) & a potential First lady being an adulteress in a Repub WH? :eusa_naughty:
RINO = losing Republican candidate

Moderate Republican Candidate = Loser

I think the big money guys are finally catching on.

Allan West, Todd Aiken, Joe Walsh and Richard Mourdock all called for you.

Something about your head being way too far up your ass.

 Seriously though, Frank's alright :) ;)

Right...And just forget that Rubio, Cruz, Flake, Paul, Lee, Bachmann, and many many more have won office...

Perhaps you may not be aware, but this isn't 2010 anymore.

Still waiting for you to name the Tea Party candidate who was supposed to lose in 2012 but won instead. I can find those who were supposed to win but lost because they were too extreme.

Oh, and drop the Bachmann thing. It doesn't count if she squeaks by in a district she was supposed to win. That should be obvious. That's like me becoming the coach of Alabama and saying I'm a great coach because we beat East Carolina 13-10.

Good post ;) :p

Right.

And Obama won.

Also, Democrats have won 4 of the past 6 Presidential elections, 5 of the past Presidential popular votes, and moderates in 5 of the past 6 elections.

So go after the moderates, because conservatives keep losing.
The GOP hasn't run a conservative candidate since Reagan....Neocons like the Bushies aren't anymore "conservative" than was LBJ.

Can't say something has failed if you never tried it.

But you keep losing in the primaries.

So you are losing.

An L is an L.

I heard on the radio that a Rep said that 75% of House seats are safe/gerrymandered so the Repubs have to legislate as faaar to the Right as possible or they'll be challenged in the Primary like that guy in Arizona. He got challenged by a t-partier, lost, & then a Dem won the Gen'l ;)

That's like saying Rdean is the Dem Spokesperson. There are some real Conservative Heavyweights, including Palin, Rubio, Paul and Johnson (R-WI) and this time they'll have the money backing them.

So nominating the most conservative candidate isn't always a good idea?

Glad to have established that.

Romney was more Conservative than Ron Paul?

Really?

TM, stop hacking other people accounts, you have yours and Del's leave Toto alone ffs

Whoa!

Focus now, Frank!

This is about "always" nominating the most conservative candidate.

It's probably not "always" a good idea, eh?

Unless one thinks losing is good.

Compared to ANgle, O'Donnell, Murdoch, Akin, Walsh, West who lost office...

Here's the dirty little secret, The GOP is the mad doctor, the TEA Party is the monster.

Really?

Let's see. That Reagan Record.

Gave Amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens.
Appointed Moderate justices O'Connor and Kennedy to SCOTUS.
Raised taxes after cutting them.
Agreed to a restructuring of social security that increased taxes, and set it up as a slush fund for other government operations.

So fucking what?...People lose elections all the time, especially crackpots like Angle, Murdock and the rest.

One of the very few saving graces of the GOP is that they throw their moonbats overboard, rather than embracing them (i.e. Grayson) and elevating them to leadership positions (Peloski, Babbermouth-Schultz, Obammy, etcetera).
