Was Romney a "RINO"? Conservatives chime in.

Paul and Santorum had their delegates stolen from them at the RNC...The only way the squish neocon losers like Romeny can win is by cheating.

You said they it has never been tried.

So you keep losing.

Over and over and over again.
They were tried and won in numerous states in the GOP primaries, but the neocon establishment wing of the party changed the rules at the last moment at the RNC, in order to ram their candidate through.

You know this is true.

You said "never."

Never is more than 2012.

Of course, there is some serious revisionism going on here.

But remember, conservatives "always" win.

That had little to do with principle and everything to do with Goldwater being a HUGE dick. The 60's were a bad time.

Hoobooie.....It hasn't been tried on a national level since Reagan....Better now?

Supposed to lose but won isn't the criteria...Who won and is currently seated is.

And a "W" is a "W".....That doesn't necessarily make them a great candidate or legislator, just one who wins their election...That Bachmann wins in a state overrun with lolberals by any margin is a minor miracle to start with.

Right.

And Obama won.

Also, Democrats have won 4 of the past 6 Presidential elections, 5 of the past Presidential popular votes, and moderates in 5 of the past 6 elections.

So go after the moderates, because conservatives keep losing.
The GOP hasn't run a conservative candidate since Reagan....Neocons like the Bushies aren't anymore "conservative" than was LBJ.

Can't say something has failed if you never tried it.

Reagan wasn't a conservative. Going by his record, he was far more of a socialist than anything else.

Though I do agree that Reagan was a cheap imitation of a "conservative" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean anymore) once in office, he did run as one.

Moderate Republican Candidate = Loser

I think the big money guys are finally catching on.

That's like saying Rdean is the Dem Spokesperson. There are some real Conservative Heavyweights, including Palin, Rubio, Paul and Johnson (R-WI) and this time they'll have the money backing them.

So nominating the most conservative candidate isn't always a good idea?

Glad to have established that.

Let's see here......

Expanded this size, scope and power of the federal gov't to record and unprecedented levels.

Two-fisted, hardcore fan of gigantic, debt-based gov't spending.

Pure wealth redistribution by signing the EITC into law.

Yup. Fucking worthless socialist by any rational reading of his record.

And realist? LOL! He was a product of Hollywood.

Then, Goldwater.

Oops!

True. He did run as one, and proved yet again that people are stupid enough to be satisfied with a two-bit hack rejected by Hollywood.

All he did in that realm was trade the deficits for the 12+% inflation rate and 20+% interest rates, as the bills for the Vietnam war and the Great Society socialistic welfare state started rolling in.

That's not saying I approve of the practice, just what happened to set the current deficit spending ball in motion.

And, no, there's nothing remotely conservative about it.

Maybe you need to actually read what happened. Fact is the cuts he was promised by the democrat held congress was never made....Truth and your perverted understanding of it is two different things.

Well truth be told he was in some aspects....Hell in some areas Obama was more conservative then Paul.

LOL! I know what the facts are, little girl, and I stated them.

They're what you're running away from in fear. You can spin and whine all you'd like, but making up history just makes you look more stupid than you already do.

"run" or "govern"? He agreed to raise taxes 7-times, gave amnesty to illegals, & tripled the nat'l debt, and attended church ONCE during his Presidency, no?

What he proved is that you can run as an overt conservative and win.

That he failed to honor the rhetoric he spewed during the campaign really isn't at issue, other than to show that if you can fake sincerity the rest is gravy.

Bingo. Nicely summarized.
