Some one way back in the thread stated that calling Obama a socialist was really a code word for the N word.

Let me tell you whoever you were, when I call someone a socialist it is no code word.

It is a far worse label than the N word because if I truly believe someone is a socialist it means that that slug of a human being believes in the same policies of Mao and Stalin who were mass murderers.

Raised by a white Mother and Grandparents. In a state with an african american population less than 2%.
Obama is as white as I am.

Except he looks out on a world that see his black face before they know all those things about him.

I think he spent his most impressionable years outside of the USA.

Not everyone criticizes Obama because of his skin color. A lot of people criticize him for the way he has fucked things up.

Thats the way it is supposed to be but when he is talked against it's becomes a racial issue.

they were labelled black regardless of their white father, grandfather, whatever.

they LOOKED or LOOK black.

if obama tried to present himself as NOT black, but bi-racial, that would not fly with racists at all.

so the race card and the race card card can be used anyway.

Nothing would fly with real racists . . . they will hate based on skin color no matter what.

Had Obama identified as bi-racial, rather than just black, those who disagree with his policies wouldn't be called racist, imo. Well, at least not nearly as much.

I often see the 'race' card being played by those on the left on here (rdean comes to mind) and out there (Maxine Waters comes to mind). What's with that? Why is it that people can't say they don't like Obama's policies/politics without people like rdean /Waters throwing race into the mix? Race isn't even mentioned until they bring it up!

What is loaded about it ? Those who complain about racism when it comes to Obama must have some reason to continue that line of attack even though his mother was white.

100% on point. I am in exactly the same predicament as Obama and I never considered myself half Italian. I am black. Period. When racists/republicans/and everyone else see Obama, believe me, they dont think he is half white. They see him as a black man. Which he is.

The old school racists are dying off, but the ones that are left are still considered the new tea party members. Look at the average age of them. They are old school racists. I answered this earlier . . . he'd be bi-racial no matter how much he claimed he wasn't.

In my previous answer I also asked you . . . why do you refer to your parents as mom is black and dad is Italian? Italian is a nationality not a race. And although you self-identify as black in reality you are both black and white (Italian). I don't understand why you wouldn't be proud of being both.

It took us crashing and burning in 2008 to realize just how much the government is sucking at its job. Obama promised to change it all! Things suck even more now.
