Not all galaxies are spiral galaxies. And interestingly, from within our own spiral Milky Way galaxy, the fact that it is spiral is impossible to discern. We can't image our own galaxy now nevermind in ancient times.

Though if you google 'fibonacci sequence in nature' other things come up.
