Its funny though; there are "left-libertarians" that actually exist. I find it an oxymoron. I think leftists are as libertarian as much as Bishop Spong is a Christian.

No surprise, the left is always trying to use distracting labels to mask their true ideology, after all they have no real integrity or principles to hinder them. Can't blame them though since their ideology is so very repugnant.

First they were "progressives" when the general public caught on to how truly horrific progressivism was they started calling themselves liberals (truly a monstrous injustice to actual liberals and liberalism) now that they've managed to dirty up the word liberal they are going back to the word progressive or some "variant" of libertarian (a monstrous injustice to libertarians).

Both of you....imagine that you were POTUS and a state sends a militia to attack a federal military base. They kill soldiers and capture the military base. What do you do?

Imagine that POTUS did everything to provoke said attack.

The attack on Ft. Sumpter occurred on December 26, 1860 and Lincoln was sworn in on March 4, 1861. Explain to me how Lincoln, as POTUS, did ANYTHING to provoke an attack when he hadn't even been sworn in?

Sumpter was fired upon in APRIL 1861 after Lincoln ordered resupply and reinforcements be sent there. Months after the secessionist states formed their own national government. Across the south federal forces had folded their flags and surrendered their forts to the new government. Yet Sumpter and Pickens were maintained as an 'In your face' to the Confederate government.
