In other words it's goddam obvious that the Bush administration spent us into oblivion then took the side of the banks and not the people. The same thing happened in the early 1930's.

There was a Republican majority in the congress from January 1995 till January 2007. You might think he could get anything he wanted during that period.

I might mention that the minimum wage stayed exactly the same during that period and one of the first things the Democratic congress did in the 2007-2008 time frame was raise it. Because of tax cuts and borrowed money to cover them the wealthiest 1% of taxpayers in this country quadrupled their wealth while ordinary American worker's wages stagnated when adjusted for inflation. That's why people are demonstrating.,,that and the aforementioned bailouts which are contrary to any stretch of the principals of capitalism.

That's the whole point - Bush is as much as conservative as Fox News is truthful

Bush could certainly be called Liberal/Socialist. He certainly couldn't be called a Conservative. It still shocks me everytime i hear the MSM refer to him as a Conservative. He was Conservative on a few Social issues but not on anything else. He was as Big Government Socialist as the guy in there right now. I see no difference between Bush & Obama. Bush is not a conservative and neither is McCain. They are both a couple of big government RINOs. Bush was only slightly better than McCain. That doesn't make him conservative by any stretch of the imagination.

Bush was the conservatives vision for America. A bankrupt government, a country constantly at war, a division of people into 2 classes (The insanely wealthy and the abject poor), lax regulations, low taxes and a rise of theocracy.

He wasn't elected the first time by popular vote. He was put into power by winning a court case.

Wrong again. If Gore had won, then he would have been into power by winning a court case. Bush one every official count that was conducted.
