THOUGHTS FROM AN INDEPENDENT:
As Trump supporters and Democrats verbally bash each other over just about everything, it's nice to know bipartisanship is not dead (though it may be on life support) Ted Cruz and Elizabeth Warren are both legal scholars, and there seems to be a growing willingness by both sides to forge an agreement on how to regulate companies like Facebook, that have such a large impact on how people get their news.
Ted Cruz Echoes Elizabeth Warren’s Criticism of Facebook’s Power. Cruz writes: First time I’ve ever retweeted Elizabeth Warren But she’s right—Big Tech has way too much power to silence Free Speech. They shouldn’t be censoring Warren, or anybody else. A serious threat to our democracy.
I don't expect partisan tribalism to end anytime soon, but there seems to be a few rays of sunshine among all the storm clouds out there.
