If you are planning to have a school assembly or other event honoring the late, great Republican hero, don't have the kid portraying Dr. King do it in blackface.

Its considered to be disrespectful to MLK's legacy, so the kid should just do it with a clean face. You can pick a honky for the role, and you might have to in the many schools in America where almost all the kids are crackers. But still, don't put black paint on the kids face. People will be offended.

Amazing you have to tell people that.

What's next? A 40hr class to instruct people not to piss into the wind?

IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME

Fair enough, the folks in the youtube can be excused. But those who follow can see the bad reaction it got, and will hopefully not do this in the future.

In "Uncivil War Birds", the legendary 3 stooges performed in blackface in a period piece. Not everyone is really up-to-date on what's offensive and what's not.

Print this out, cut 2 holes for the eyes, put a string through both ears to hold it on your face, just never stop talking and then go beat up a white woman. Thumping a bible occasionally is optional but will make you appear more legit.

What about Michael Jackson? Was he racist for turning his skin white?

Michael Jackson was also SEXIST as he was trying to morph himself into a woman, Diana Ross.

It is so funny watching how todays "People" are so easily offended. "To allow someone to offend you is to empower that person to be better than you". Sticks and stones.

These days EVERYTHING offends some bed wetter out there.

The way blacks were portrayed in Hollywood back then was generally in the worst possible way. Even if they would have hired a black actor, I can't imagine they would perform the way the script directed. At least not if they had any self respect.

"It is disingenuous to imply that my father was a Republican. He never endorsed any presidential candidate, and there is certainly no evidence that he ever even voted for a Republican. It is even more outrageous to suggest he would support the Republican Party of today, which has spent so much time and effort trying to suppress African American votes in Florida and many other states."
