War Drums: U.S. Lawmakers Urge 'Material' Aid To Syria Rebels...

I'm very disappointed with Rubio. He's being co-opted and groomed by the corrupt old-guard Elite. He's selling out. It's sad.

I guess I'm behind the curve. What is Rubio doing to sell out?

Rubio should not be supporting our intervening in yet another Nation's Civil War. He is being co-opted and groomed by the old-guard Elite. And that's very sad, because he had real promise.

Would you ever concede that our elected officials have information that is not available to the public? And as such their decisions may differ from what we consider good judgment?

We aren't in the loop you know.

Rubio just has common sense, something that is foreign to Paulestinians.

Rubio being a Cuban-American understands evil dictators killing innocent people to take/keep power. These Paulestinians don't care about others being slaughtered until it is their turn to get slaughtered.

Unless the UN helps out and participates then we simply cannot afford to police the world. We will bankrupt ourselves trying to save the world from itself. Sorry, but I care more about the country I grew up in, and my kids are growing up in, more than some backwards ass middle Eastern countries.

This is one area of politics that always boggled me. Republicans scream and rant and rave about fiscal responsibility and bankrupting the country, unless that money is going to other countries? Then it's fine?

Over 7000 people have been slaughtered. This is not in some jungle country where aid would be impractical.

At least we could help impose a humanitarian area where tanks and such are forbiden.

If not why?

For how long? How do you maintain it? You can support revolutionaies but they have to be able to win the battle on the ground. Syria isn't the only nation where people have been or are being slaughtered.

Idiot, that was a WAR between Iran and Iraq, we sided with Saddam over the evil Iranian empire....you know the one that took our Embassy hostage.

We later showed we didn't support Saddam killing innocent people in Kuwait.

We don't support people like Saddam and Assad, well you do.

You're an idiot.

We don't support dictators killing innocent people, especially when those dictators are an enemy of our friends and are supported by Iran.

Lebanon....funny, we work with the LAF in Lebanon. We don't work with the Syrian military. :eusa_whistle:

We worked with the Egyptian military and hope they can keep the islamofascists from running their country. But you blame the US military for Egypt's problems when in fact we helped prevent major bloodshed there like in Syria.

FYI....Russia and Iran are the arms suppliers to Syria, so you should focus your hatred on them, not us trying to stop the massacre and possible loose WMDs.
We supported Saddam Hussein when he murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent Iranians:

"Iraq invaded Iran, first attacking Mehrabad Airport of Tehran and then entering the oil-rich Iranian land of Khuzestan, which also has a sizable Arab minority, on 22 September 1980 and declared it a new province of Iraq.

"With the support of the Arab states, the United States, and Europe, and heavily financed by the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, Saddam Hussein had become 'the defender of the Arab world' against a revolutionary Iran."

Saddam Hussein - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Which country is still the greatest purveyor of violence on this planet?
What did we ever do to make those crazy Persians evil?

"Mosaddegh (duly elected Prime Minister of Iran) was removed from power in a coup on 19 August 1953, organised and carried out by the United States CIA at the request of the British MI6 which chose Iranian General Fazlollah Zahedi to succeed Mosaddegh.[2]"

As usual, you have to go back decades to prove your psychotic theories.

The CIA was countering the KGB around the world in the 50s-90s, so propping up people here and there was better than the Soviets doing it.

Of course, in your demented mind this all makes it all ok the radical mullahs with their insane theories are building nukes today to kill infidels. :cuckoo:

Go shoot yourself in the head.

Well.....maybe it is more dangerous for terrorists to take over Syria or just get their WMDs. Uh, that might be a quite expensive problem to deal with in money and human lives. :eusa_whistle:

Oh, but you think ignoring the threat/problem is going to save you money today....we used that plan against UBL under Bill Clinton. Ever heard of 9/11?

Uh, the State Department and Obamination promoted Egypt's people overthrowing their leader, not the US military which saw him as a stable figure in the region. Now those "peaceniks" like you look like dumbasses for opening up pandora's box.

The same for Libya where Obamination saw himself winning some Noble Peace Prize for taking down a dictator but his "NATO" plan backfired and allowed the terrorists to take over the country.

If the US military was calling the shots, we would've supported Mubarak in Egypt and wouldn't have this mess there now. In Libya we would've decided to quickly end the war there by killing Qaddaffi in the first week while finding moderates to quickly fill in the holes instead of allowing outside terrorists to flock to Libya like Obamination allowed with his wimpy ass plan.

After Mubarak, Egypt was taken over by terrorists. After Gaddafi, Libya was taken over by terrorists. Why is the US regime so interested in promoting terrorists taking over these middle eastern countries?
Follow the money; it leads to Wall Street via the Pentagon.
So you think the US military is entitled to overrule the political objectives of the overwhelming majority of Egyptians? Why is that? Does it have anything to do with propping up the apartheid state of Israel?

Idiot....the US military trained his military to not shoot the people in the streets protesting and to quit fighting Israel, which they did for decades.

The US military doesn't put people in charge of countries they just support whoever the State Department says to support in a country. Your fellow left-wingers in the State Department today made the dumb choice of kicking Mubark out the door instead of forcing him to change his ways.

Now, idiots like you have made Egypt a mess with radical islamists rising to power, congrats dumbfuck.

As usual you have nothing but excuses for the 1%.

"Mohammad Mosaddegh or Mosaddeq (Persian: محمد مصدق, IPA: [mohæmˈmæd(-e) mosædˈdeɣ] ( listen)*), also spelled Mossadegh, Mossadeq, Mosadeck, or Musaddiq (16 June 1882 – 5 March 1967), was the Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953 until being overthrown in a coup d'état.

"His administration introduced a wide range of social reforms but is most notable for its nationalization of the Iranian oil industry, which had been under British control since 1913 through the Anglo-Persian Oil Company (APOC/AIOC) (later British Petroleum or BP)"

Idiot....again, how do your crazy ass theories excuse Mullahs today that want to wipe Israel off the map?

Is the CIA behind another crazy conspiracy invented in your head? The CIA is building nukes in Iran so that we can go to war with Iran???? :cuckoo:

The chimp that speaks for Iran is really a CIA puppet controlled by big oil? Meanwhile everyone is taking orders from Bush and Cheney's secret hideout inside Devil's Tower.....

How many nuclear weapons does Israel possess?
How many nuclear states have ever been wiped off any map?

So wait a minute, now you're saying it's better to leave the syrian government as is so terrorists don't get their hands on wmd's? You support action against the syrian government, but you also support action against the people trying to overthrow the syrian government?

You really do support war against anyone for any reason don't you? The thought of thousands of soldiers coming home with ptsd just gives you a chubby doesn't it? From my point of view, when you're in a lose-lose situation like we are with Syria, you choose none of the above.

1) Israel has not threatened to wipe another country off the map like Iran.
2) Israel does not support terrorists, Iran does.
3) Iran will give nukes to terrorists, dumbfuck. Who do you think terrorists will use the nukes on?
4) The country that is the most violent on this planet right now would be Iran since they are supporting terrorists in Iraq/Afghanistan/worldwide and the Assad regime killing innocent people.

People like you should be handed over to the terrorists to wear them out chopping off heads, so they will leave us alone.

Idiot....again, how do your crazy ass theories excuse Mullahs today that want to wipe Israel off the map?

dumbfuck...

We don't want Syria to lose control of their WMDs but we also don't want terrorists to take over the country. Also we don't like Assad.

In the optimal world the Syrian opposition forces take over Syria and become a moderate friendly country like Turkey, and the WMDs are controlled then later destroyed once the new ruling party realizes the internal threat those WMDs cause.

Got that, cleatus?

So the US wants a peaceful ending but we should be ready for the worst case scenario, while you pick your ass in your trailer park.
