Supermarket giant Asda could face mass legal action from tens of thousands of employees who claim they are underpaid compared with colleagues doing the similar work.

Legal firm Leigh Day said it had been approached by 19,000 people – mostly women – after it announced it was taking action against the retailer.

I guess it depends if you are a communist or not. Are these workers free to quit their jobs at Asda and seek better ones?

The Walton family is among the richest families in the world. Their wealth inherited from Bud and Sam Walton, founders of the world's largest retailer, Walmart.[1] The three most prominent living members (Jim, Roband Alice) have consistently been in the top ten of the Forbes 400 since 2001, as wereJohn (d. 2005) and Helen (d. 2007) prior to their deaths. Christy Walton took her husband John's place after his death.

Collectively, the Waltons own over 50% of the company, and are worth a combined total of $152 billion (as of July 2014).[2] In 2010, six members of the Walton family had the same net worth as either the bottom 28% or 41% of American families combined (depending on how it is counted).[3]
