If you really want to have a conversation about Welfare and who the real "takers" are -- let's start with this.

Dunce!
If WalMart didnt hire them the taxpayer would be on the hook for their entire subsistence. WalMart subsidizes the state, not the other way around.

prove any of those numbers are true please

wal mart wouldn't even make a top 50 of evil corporations . And there are evil corporations out there

Why doesn't Walmart pay a living wage? Answer: because the owners are greedy and want taxpayers to subsidize their employees.

Walmart pays what the market dictates they pay. It's that simple. If people won't work for the wages they offer they'll have a shortage of workers and will be forced to pay more. They are not obligated to pay anyone what you think they should be paid. That is how the free market works, Komrade.

WalMart does not pay a living wage. WalMart pays a market wage. They pay what they need in order to get the quality of employees they have to have.
Like every other company.

Yes...of course. But you are making too much sense. In America today, where socialists and socialism rules, WalMart is evil.

All they need to do to get the Leftists off their back, is claim corporations do not pay enough in taxes and give lots of cash to the D Party...then the lefties and their media will love them...akin to what the Oracle of Omaha has done.

Why doesn't Walmart pay a living wage? Answer: because they can't afford it.
P.S.> Lakhota has no idea what Walmart's margin %'s are. (latest 3.3%)
Walmart employs 1.4 million people. To take them to living wage, on average, they would have to increase their wages by at least $5 an hour. That would cost them $14.5 Billion dollars.
Now to that you would have to add real benefits, which would be about $4.5 billion (average bene's cost about 30% of total wages)
2013 Walmart made $17.5 billion. Which means they would have lost $1.5 billion

.

Improve your skills. Get a better job. Or get a second or third job while you're improving your skills, as most of us did. Or do a great job where you are and get promoted. Or start your own business You can do it. I believe in you.

Aw, fuck it.

.
Liberals would simply rather have laws passed that would give them all that so they don't have to improve anything about their lives on their own.

Ah, living wage, code word for "paying democratic voters more than they are worth, based on their skill set"

This is why I believe the Republicans should push for a $10/hr minimum wage and tell the liberals to shut the fuck up. $7.25 an hour is NOT a reasonable wage, it just isn't. But this "living wage" crap is ridiculous.

Of course if you bump the minimum wage to $10 an hour you better be ready to see all the low skilled barely do enough to get by employees get let go. Companies will not pay that for employees who aren't worth it.

They don't pay a "living wage" because it not their responsibility to make sure you live to a standard you are comfortable with.

Then it seems like people like you would quit bitching about all those "people" on government assistance.

Every time you bitch about "those people" who are on the government handouts and then defend the low wages they are paid, you are acknowledging just how much of a hypocrite you all are.

You can't have and do both. Accept that a great many working Americans are on government assistance because their income qualifies them for assistance.

or

acknowledge that a great many working Americans are under paid.

But quit bitching about one (those on government assistance) and defending the other (low wages). The one causes the other.

And this ain't Burger King. You don't get it both ways.
