Walker recall on track

If the folks in WI don't like what Walkers done then they can always vote him out.

Waste of Union money in my book. They must have plenty to waste.

Don't worry. They will.

Soon.

The reason the petition drive is running out of steam is the same reason that the recall vote won't pass...Walker erased a 3 billion dollar deficit in two years and did it without raising taxes or cutting cops, firefighters or teachers. You really think that makes Walker a "bad guy" to the average Wisconsinite who ISN'T in a union? He's doing what they elected him to do...get the State's fiscal house in order. Do you really think that a majority of people in Wisconsin are going to vote him out so they can return to having the State run by the same idiots who ran up the 3 billion dollar debt in the first place? I don't think the unions can sway enough votes...no matter how many outside activists they bring in or how many millions they spend on this.

there is also that pesky little matter of not even having anyone to run against him yet.

Yup. He's saving taxpayers money. Believe me they will vote with their pocketbooks.

The Unions are wasting their members money big time on this one.

Public sector unions should be completely abolished. Tax payer money that is used to push a political agenda is only one of many problems with it. This is one of those times where it should be obvious.

School lunch programs, head-start, food stamps, and social programs--all these are proven to serve keeping the poor poor, the dependent dependent, the uneducated uncompetitive, and social programs guaranteeing that the same people's children will also need somebody else to provide lunch, education, food, and social programs that guarantee the grandchildren will also be parasites.
And who proved this?

Walker did what he promised for those who elected him.

Fact: Governor Walker didn't promise to strip collective bargaining.

Fact: Governor Walker claimed his budget would keep collective bargain intact.

Fact: His claim was a huge lie.

Really????

The poll showed that 58 percent of respondents believe Walker should be recalled from office. That compares with 47 percent who said in April that he should be recalled.

The growth in support for a recall came, surprisingly, from Republicans. In the spring, only 7 percent of Republicans supported recalling Walker but that grew to 24 percent in the fall.

Anytime you want to try to refute those facts and cite where he campaigned to end collective bargaining and push a budget that wouldn't keep collective bargaining, have at it.

I know you won't because you can't.

The promise he kept was to reduce the budget shortfall without raising taxes.

As for a list of his platform, look here.

It doesn't talk about methodology too much. I suspect your ilk would only have been satisfied if he kept the failed status quo and raised taxes, and then busted his chops for violating a campaign promise. You, thanks to politifucked telling you what to think, say he's a liar to strip collective bargaining. That's a method, not a goal. A very effective an much needed method because this state has been under WEAC's budgetary blackmail for 50 years now. After they lose the recall, their bid to get that power back to rig negotiations by putting their people on BOTH sides of the negotiating table will be gone or massively diminished.

You want to quibble over the words 'fully intact' and call it a full on liar? Fine you do so. We know your claim is not true, either. The private sector is untouched, and except for wages and benefits, so it remains for WEAC. But that's not where the money and power is, and we know it.

So if we want to quibble, how about THIS claim by Politifucked:

At the turn of the 19th century, the Republican governor told conservative talk show host Charles Sykes, Wisconsin adopted the "strongest civil service protections" in the world.
Emphasis mine. So now we're being told that Charlie Sykes and Governor Walker are over 100 years old, and conservative talk radio existed in the late 1800's? I'm sorry. That's a flat out fucking lie.

In the end, your, politifucked and WEAC's bitching aside, with millions of out of state union dollars at stake, it doesn't matter what a little graphic says about these minute details. The point remains Walker did the right thing, to reduce government bankrupting public sector union control over the budget. Even FDR, the liberal patron saint in this nation, got that this was a danger and never allowed this to happen under his watch.

The gravy train is over. Grow up and earn a living.

He only took away collective bargaining in the PUBLIC sector from a few unions on benefits. This is so overblown it's comical. Even FDR, the moran that codified a rash of pro-union laws, warned us about public sector unions.

The bill also cut pay increases for officials down to a percentage of the CPI. You lefties just hit the panic button to make your minions moan and cry.

What's a "moran"?
An idiot who is projecting someone else's intelligence deficits. :lmao:

You could have wasted a lot less time by just conceding that I was right.

Waiting to see how many of these "signatures" are legitimate. Providing gifts and multiple signatures should be punishable by law.

I wonder how badly the dims will cry foul if there is another election and Walker wins again...

I find it oddly amusing that the libtards in here that are so gung ho about how much support they have for removing Walker, based on the figure of 1,000,000 signatures... refuse to comment on the fact that the 1,000,000 is about the same number of people that voted against Walker in the election.

In other words, as pissed as they say most Wisconsin voters are at Walker, they essentially got no new converts to their cause... just the people we already know don't like him.

Still leaves more people in WI that DO like him.

Funny how the libtards ignore this.

Well I could have agreed with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Uh-huh. Just keep telling yourself that. He's even losing support amongst Republicans.

As jubilant opponents of Republican Gov. Scott Walker launched their effort to try to recall him from office, a new poll showed he has lost support among his Republican base and a majority of respondents favor recall.

The growth in support for a recall came, surprisingly, from Republicans. In the spring, only 7 percent of Republicans supported recalling Walker but that grew to 24 percent in the fall.

Didn't see an actual link to a real poll on that one. Got one?

I'm not going to go hunt for any links for them, but I'll point out that poll libs here like to cite is a St. Norbert/WPR survey from a few months ago.

There was another one from about that time which had more balanced results.

It would be interesting to see what the numbers are now that more time has passed, and we have seen more results from Walker's reforms, and especially now that recall exhaustion has set in.
