i see both sides of the aisle decry the saudis, how evil they are....etc...yet both sides kiss saudi behind...

i see both sides decry this ass kissing and then try to blame that ass kissing on the other side....

so, walk the talk.....

what is your proposal for cutting off all ties to SA? how will this work and how do you believe this will effect our country?

The real Libertarians don't go for the Saudis.

We don't need them.

We should abandon them. Let them defend themselves against Bin Laden.

easy buy an electric car and plug it into an outlet on your house and put solar panels on your roof.....that is on an individual level....

the car cost what 50k and the panels are 30k.....have the government cut everyone a check....it would stimulate the economy and cost less than the one trillion we just blew.....

Were we to offer the proper incentatives, the increase in orders for these items would would bring the manufacturing prices down. And there are people already manufacturing solar panels that cost less than a dollar a watt.

Solar Panels Get Cheap, But Will the Trend Last? - Research says Silicon Solar Panels like First Solar Uses May Not Hold Up to Scale - Popular Mechanics

A long-sought solar milestone was eclipsed on Tuesday, when Tempe, Ariz.–based First Solar Inc. announced that the manufacturing costs for its thin-film photovoltaic panels had dipped below $1 per watt for the first time. With comparable costs for standard silicon panels still hovering in the $3 range, it's tempting to conclude that First Solar's cadmium telluride (CdTe) technology has won the race. But if we're concerned about the big picture (scaling up solar until it's a cheap and ubiquitous antidote to global warming and foreign oil) a forthcoming study from the University of California–Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory suggests that neither material has what it takes compared to lesser-known alternatives such as—we're not kidding—fool's gold.

An important point with home solar is that a watt produced at home is worth nearly a watt and one half produced elsewhere, for that is the average loss of the grid.

both sides kiss ass for oil..that simple....if the saudis didnt have oil..we would have done the right thing after 9/11 and kicked their fucking asses...instead we decide to attack afghanistan...

Watch the film W about the nincompoop the Supreme Court selected eight years ago.

There's a small scene in which Dick Cheney explains how the USA needs to engage in imperialism in the Middle East.

Personally, I was horribly disappointed at how nice Oliver Stone was to Dubya. He portrayed him as a bumbling idiot, but in fact I saw a sinister administration run by Cheney (aka Darth Vader).

These so-called wars in the Middle East are not in defense of America. That's the line the government feeds the suckers (aka, the uneducated).

It's imperialism and nothing else.

When you have your armies all around the world, you are doing the exact same thing the Romans, Greeks, French, British, Spanish and Germans did. Oh, and the Mongols, the Japanese, the Dutch, and so on, and so on.

It's our time now.

But nothing lasts forever. Sooner or later someone will bust our balls back into our own borders, just like they did to the Nazis, the Spanish, the British, the Dutch, the Japanese, yada, yada, yada.

Did I mention the Persians, the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Incas, the Aztecs, the Martians, etc.???

I actually look forward to it. I love the USA, but cannot wait until we are an independent nation again.

F--- the global economy.

Hmm, more like $20 trillion I believe, and that's at minimum.

More pollution, when the life of the panel is over you got to bury it, what happens if there is a tornado hits the house and destroys the panel, what about houses that catch fire. Its CADMIUM TELLURIDE for Christs sake. What about the pollution created this nasty actor, what about all that. The Greenie meanies act like this nasty shit grows on trees or is caught like fish, maybe the tooth fairy brings them.

Cadmium
Another issue frequently mentioned, is the use and recycling of the extremely toxic metal cadmium, one of the six most toxic materials banned by European Union's RoHS regulation. According to First Solar's annual report[30], the CdTe solar panel is not in RoHS compliance, not listed in the exemption product list, but not currently listed in the restricted product list either. So the product's future RoHS compliance status is uncertain[31]. First Solar has a self-imposed recycling regimen that provides a deposited amount (<$0.05 a watt) that covers the costs of transport and recycling of the module at the end of its useful life.[32][33] Recycling has been fully demonstrated on scrap modules. In a validating test, Vasilis Fthenakis of the Brookhaven National Laboratory showed that the glass plates surrounding CdTe material sandwiched between them (as they are in all commercial modules) seal during a fire and do not allow any cadmium release.[34] All other uses and exposures related to cadmium are minor and similar in kind and magnitude to exposures from other materials in the broader PV value chain, e.g., to toxic gases, lead solder, or solvents (most of which are not used in CdTe manufacturing).[35]

old rock knowingly posted false information in environment under climate change

how can I address old rocks post here, I will have to spend hours looking for the answer like before and than I find out old rock willingly and knowingly posted a false report, not only did old man post the false report but old man had a rebutal ready in case he got found out

this kind of stuff make me sick, further look at the vile old man says about others, and than we are suppose to take his word and if we dont we get old rokes vile mouth

wikipedia is not a source, I found a false fact, fixed it and a liberal put the false fact right back in

I have done the following.

I drive 55 on the highway. No jack rabbit starts and I try to adjust my speed downward coming up to red lights to avoid stopping, saving the extra fuel it requires to build up momentum. I drive far less than I used to and even changed jobs to reduce mileage.

I built up flower beds around my foundation and increased actic insulation levels to R45.

I installed a wood stove and made that my primary heat source with the oil fired furnace a secondary source. Compared with last year I saved about 3000 dollars and did my part to reduce demand.

Flourescent bulbs have largely replaced incandescent ones.

I have been slowly doing my homework as it applies to adding solar panels to my roof.

I often sit in the dark at my computer. So if you see typos be sure that it was due to a good cause.

We should not cut our ties to the Arab kingdom. Its great oil and its very fulfilliing, my truck loves it. My truck gets pissed if I put that sulpher laden north american oil in it. If I had my choice I would burn pure light sweet crude from the middle east, I would burn it until we use it all

Burn, Burn, Burn

Saudi light sweet crude truely is the best in the world, thats why the British created Saudi Arabia.
