    In this particular article, I got the sense that the author is equating the word "falafel" with our word "baloney".

    I didn't read the article, although I would have equated the comment with coffee. Or is that a Canadian thing too? :rolleyes:

    I had no idea falafel was a Canadian invention either. See that tongue hanging out in the smilie? That means it was a joke--albeit a poor one with you, evidentally.
