Voters Reject Conservative Backed Measures

voters really don't seem to be interested in the religious right's agenda. now maybe if repubs started actually doing things we need and stopped worrying about being the party of jesus......

It looks like extreme issues are going down everywhere.

Think they'll learn anything from it? :doubt:

This is the ugly face of liberalism.. It's extreme to protect the life of an unborn child..

If that was the real goal, it would have passed. People know you teabaggers are attempting to force your views on all the rest of us tho.

How's that working for you?

We'll see in 2012, an election which counts.. ;-) I know it must make your day that the right to slaughter your own child has been upheld.. you must be so proud.. What a woman you are.. Let me guess.. you're old and you use to trumpet NOW's call for women's rights??? LOL

You guys are forgetting, Issue 1 was rejected and Issue 3 passed.

Issue 1 would have taken the nominatino of State Supreme Court judges out of the hands of the Gov (Kasich).

I have no idea who's idea that was, but WOW! Bad idea! I voted no and so did a LOT of other people.

On Issue 3. I told my mother last Saturday, Issue 3 is far more important than issue 2 and no one is talking about it!

Apparently, no one had to. It was a given that voters were going to reject Obamacare.

As for Issue 2. Kasich really bungled that. If Kasich and Co hadn't given themselves a raise right after SB5, I don't think half the rage against SB5 would have been there.

Really a tone deaf thing to do. DUMB! I always said Ken Blackwell would have been the better governor.

The only alternative now is to make sure we GET RID OF OBAMA in the Whitehouse.

Because the state is so broke, the only alternative is JOBS JOBS JOBS, and the present Socialist in Chief has no intention of creating jobs. He wants dependency on the government.

Ooo more election threats from the toothless tigers of the teaparty.

You are a joke, an old man pretending to be a woman online. Probably toothless too. I remember you from another board, you weren't smart there either.

Issue 3 means nothing at the federal level. You are right about getting Kasich out, bring back a smart Democrat though.

Another example of that hopey-changie thing manifesting from the voters' booth.

It must be very frustrating for you folks who so obviously hate demoracy.

You hit a nerve? Don't know where you idiots get your logic, I understand your frustration, you lost, it hurts.

No it's not.

Ohio- The union nutjobs are far more motivated than the avg joe in Ohio who doesn't have a dog in that fight. Turnout was destined to be for the unions.

Miss- Despite popular belief, the rabid Pro-Life crowd is a minority in the right. A lot of us, including myself, are pro choice, or, just not that motivated to vote on something that is as unconsequential as that law would have been.

Union nutjobs are what gave US citizens a minimum wage, benefits, pensions, a 40 hour work week, overtime, work safety and a plethora of other things that make the labor experience, workable. Conservatives are working tooth and nail to reverse all that. It's reached a tipping point. Although this is a "what took you moment", it's welcome, because, finally..it seems that people understand what's going on.

And the "rabid pro-life" movement seems very much alive and well in the halls of conservatism. The 2010 freshman, in addition to putting up legislation to cut taxes and regulations, have been sending bill after bill to go after women's reproductive rights.

Last night was a fine victory for Democrats and Liberals in general.

Ohio has spoken.

They apparantly don't mind paying for everything for the Public Sector Unions but they dont' want Obamacare.

Good for them.

Lets hope they all remember how they voted when taxes go up to cover the Public Sector Union Workers.

What I find amusing is that the liberals on this board are so fixated on getting Obama reelected that none of them have given much thought to what will happen if he is.

Seriously, folks...Barack Obama has run out of ideas to fix the economy. That's quite evident with his "Jobs Bill" which is nothing more than a watered down version of his first stimulus. So what are we going to do for the next four years if this guy is reelected? We don't have the cash to do "stimulus 3, 4, 5 & 6" because our credit rating will be the same as Greece if we keep going down that road. His "green jobs initiatives" aren't doing anything. Housing is still a complete mess. Obamacare didn't do anything to lower healthcare costs and a major part of how you pay for it appears about to be ruled unconstitutional. We've got an Attorney General that is either incompetent or criminally liable. The situation with Israel and Iran worsens seemingly by the day and Obama has strained relations with Tel Aviv to a breaking point. The only people who dislike Obama more than the Israelis at this point are Republicans in the House who Obama is blaming for not doing anything while Harry Reid sits on everything they HAVE done, not allowing votes on legislation in the Senate. You think any of them are going to work with Obama going forward after being used as scapegoats for two years of the "Get Barry Reelected At All Costs" campaign?

True. It seems that many want universal health care. Not this kludge of conservative market based solutions.

The GOP should wise up and see that extremes of the Tea Party are not working.

Since what the Tea Party wants more than anything else is smaller Government and some fiscal sanity in the amount of deficit we're running up...neither of which we've even TRIED it's hard to characterize their views as not working.

Obama made a mistake with the Stimulus..which did work well I might add. It included the conservative numbers in terms of spending. And it included tax cuts...which had zero stimulative effect. That..and not letting the Bush tax cuts, sunset.

The rest of this is untrue. No real need to go point by point. Obama is wildly popular in Israel..and Ed Koch just endorsed him in New York. It's Netanyahu who is causing the trouble with his uber-right stick in the mud stance, and overly miilitant aggression in the region.

You guys are stuck with putting up Romney..who in terms of "core values" makes Kerry look like a stanch conservative.

Anything to get elected, indeed!

So wanting to remain a Constitutional Republic is extreme? Wanting Rule of law is extreme? Wanting individual rights protected is extreme? What you are suggesting is extreme, but not what the Tea Party wants is extreme it's the norm..

What the tea party wants is a break up of America. That's not going to happen.

The Tea Party want none of that. Heck..they don't even really know the Constitution.
