For all purposes I believe we already have them between our Social Security cards and Drivers Licenses.
What is the debate here on making your SS card your National ID?
Tea Party hippies want to be able to sneak guns about holding to some idea of privacy?
Leftists want to make it easier for ppl to show up drunk to vote without their wallet?
Is it because it is a national thing not a states thing? As much as I ridicule states rights I could care less who issues it, as long as all the rules are the same.
There is a bit of sci-fi hippie in me that wants to fight the power, but effectively I have been carrying about my drivers and fishing (lol) licenses for 25 years. Maybe I can stick this bill to one prohibiting tracking our IP addresses and appease everyone.
