Ya know I'm the last USMB member to criticize the religious. BUT what's up with the Christian Scientists getting paid for "praying"? I shit you not. Kerry and Hatch have squirmed a provision into two of the health care bills to pay ONLY christian scientologists for praying as a health treatment.

I'm not sure if I would buy wiki as a source....perhaps a link to the actual text in the bill would be better. That being said, I hope those 2 idiots get thrown out of office if this is true.

That wasn't my first source. I heard it being discussed on the radio where they called out the specific section and subsection. The subsection refers to an IRS law subsection which grants the actual deduction for the providers.

I know it is complicated but that subtrafuge is how they pulled it off.

Some of you are better at finding shit on the internet than myself. Have at it.

I just thought it outrageous that a health care bill would authorize paying for praying.
