I hate to say it, but - if the police refuse to do their job and the Democrats refuse to condemn and call for the stopping of what is going on - what 'needs' to happen to stop this is a concealed carry permit-owning citizen who is legally carrying a firearm shooting one of these thugs in an act of self-defense out of fear for their own safety.

That would put a quick halt to all this crap.

We don't put up with this kind of shit in east coast metropolis of Hermitage PA- and we didn't when I lived in the Mid West either.

But this should be a warning sign to the voters in both regions what can happen when liberalism gets out of control.

Over in Portland, folks who try to actually ESCAPE the anarchy on the street are the ones who are sought and persecuted. Around here, this kind of violence would drive the other drivers in the intersection out of their cars with their tire irons, and the local police out of their donut shops with their clubs and tasers to beat down the Antifa to the fullest extent of the law.

I am reminded of scenes in Baltimore of violent protesters jumping up and down on the hood of a police car, smashing into windows, and reading how the mayor and the police chief ordered their policeman not to do anything that 'might cause the escalation of violence'.

In other words, the Liberals in charge allowed violence to continue in an attempt to 'prevent' violence...

Personally, I would have sent my policemen out with shotguns filled with bean bags and would have blown the violent protesters off of the hood of the cars, we taking control of the streets and the city while sending a message that this type of violent insanity would not be tolerated.

The protesters were blocking the road. They have zero legal authority to do so and they were terrorizing the old guy prior. Damn right I would have done the same thing as that old guy, only they'd be scraping the street instead of dusting themselves off. Antifa are terrorists.
