You could register guns and have the title move from buyer to buyer . That would take out a whole lot of straw purchases.

Of course it interferes with my right to own a gun. Many places already have placed restrictions on firearms where you have to sell them or turn them in. If they are registered, they can come and get them.

Laws that require firearms to be registered are perfectly Constitutional, the right to possess a gun is in no manner ‘interfered’ with.

And the notion that registration will result in ‘confiscation’ is fails as a slippery slope fallacy, as ridiculous as it is wrong.

Logic tells me that confiscation is impossible if the government doesn't have a list of owners. With a list, it can be done. What does logic tell you?

Thats only in Quebec, by the looks of it. And even there, the law is failing, based on the number of registrations.

Guns (a constitutional right) are used for proper purposes millions of times a year. Murder is always wrong.

Laws that prevent criminals from getting guns don’t prevent law abiding from getting guns .

Most criminals acquire guns illegally. Banning guns or substantially restricting guns from law-abiding citizens is not going to help. That is heading in the wrong direction if you want to stop criminals from violent gun acts.
