Well, I've heard this many times and I don't agree but I do view it a little differently.

I think if people had to hunt for their own food, then prepare it and cook it they'd have a better appreciation for it.

I heard a guy on one of those hunting shows say that KFC and fast food joints like that are "Paid Assassins". How true!

Many people have a similar view, Scientist.

They say they do not oppose predation/hunt itself because predation is obviously part of the natural world. What they object to is the reduction of animal lives in factory farming systems that treat them as living meat (that supply KFC and fast food joints).

Whatever side of this most contentious debate you find yourself leaning towards they do have a valid point.
