The solution seems pretty simple. If people are stupid enough to build an artificial intelligence overlord billions of times smarter than us we can't possibly compete with despite movies and warnings about it for decades, rather than one designed to simply serve us and enhance our lives, then we deserve to be made obsolete as the fools we really are.
