For veterans, this is the three-day weekend to stop counting calories and start devouring free grub.

A few more than previous post @ Restaurants to offer free food on Veterans Day - Military News | News From Afghanistan, Iraq And Around The World - Military Times

In addition, a number of casinos here in Las Vegas are offering freebies. I guess maybe some others elsewhere are doing the same.

    More Veteran Discounts

    by CJ

Last week, I published a post about all the discounts and freebies offered to troops and veterans this weekend. One of the offers I shared was that SportClips was offering free haircuts to active duty troops and veterans on Monday, November 12th. But, SportClips is doing more than just offering free haircuts to support our troops.

This Sunday, in honor of Veterans Day, SportClips Haircuts invites you to be a part of “The Biggest Haircut Day of the Year.”

You can get the best haircut of your life and feel good knowing you’re helping deployed and hospitalized service members call home. Our good friends at Sport Clips will donate $1 to VFW from every haircut given at each of their participating locations on Sunday, November 11.

Sport Clips’ goal is to raise $500,000 in its sixth year of donating to VFW Operation Uplink™, the VFW program that provides free call days to America’s deployed and hospitalized service members.

Since 2007, Sport Clips has made almost 2 million calls possible and donated more than $1.3 million to VFW Operation Uplink™, becoming VFW’s largest Free Call Day sponsor.

I’m proud to note that Sport Clips Haircuts is headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, and was founded in 1993 by CEO Gordon Logan. Sport Clips, the “Official Haircutter” of VFW, offers veterans preferential pricing on haircuts and franchises and was named in the “50 Top Franchises for Military Veterans” ranking by World Franchising.
