In the January 28, 2017 phone call the transcript shows Trump had concerns the refugees held on Manus Island and Nauru could become "the Boston bomber in five years".

"Why haven't you let them out?" Trump asked Turnbull.

"Why have you not let them into your society?"

Turnbull endeavoured to explain Australia's policy.

"It is not because they are bad people," the Prime Minister said.


"It is because in order to stop people smugglers, we had to deprive them of the product.

"So we said if you try to come to Australia by boat, even if we think you are the best person in the world, even if you are a Nobel Prize-winning genius, we will not let you in."

Trump was impressed.

"That is a good idea," the President told Turnbull.

"We should do that too."

Hey skye, I think that is a bit harsh.

I, like you applaud their stance. But scum isn't the word I would use.

They, and others, are very picky about who the let in. I don't know if you recall but several years ago, New Zeland refused an immiagration request because the woman was overweight.

The move was motivated by new zelands desire to not have fat people pulling on the health care system because of their weight.

We are the only developed nation that has an ILLEGAL ALIEN problem. Other countries like Canada, Australia, the UK, European countries, Asian countries, Mexico, South American countries, etc have very stiff penalties including jail time, then deportation, etc. We are by far the MOST LENIENT.
