Dave Grossman is an American author who has specialized in the study of the psychology of killing, which has been termed 'killology'. He is a retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Army.
In other words he knows his stuff.

This video is very informative.... To all you Beck haters, please Just try to ignore the fact that he is sitting across from Mr Grossman and listen to what Dave has to say... It's very insightful and informative.

I read his book "On Killing", which documents the govt's efforts to increase an individual soldiers rate of fire during firefights in wartime, about 6 years ago.

Basicly it was all about ways of getting the soldier to overcome his (or her) natural reluctance to pull the trigger on another human being, even if it's the enemy.

I was amazed that this was required.

It's good to know that man is not naturally wired to kill other men.
Not sure I could do it either. Also hope I never have to find out.
